Yes, the RTR wheels, my bad.

I see the 302R wheels are now listed, as was mentioned above.

That would almost be too awesome for Ford to offer.

All I'm hoping for is to have the ability to order a 201X Boss in a red-orange color (a la Calypso Coral circa 1970 Boss 302), 1970-style Boss stripes, and Magnum 500-styled wheels. I won't hold my breath for a Shaker hood option, but that could maybe be a deal-installed accessory?

The wheels on the Boss 302R's look nice, on those cars. I think the street version Boss should have a different wheel for two reasons:

1.) You're bringing back a retro special edition, have a retro-style, non-Bullitt wheel

2.) The SVT Performance Package wheels look too similar to those (I realize not identical, but too close in my opinion) 302R wheels to have on another special version of the Mustang.

It has always been a dream of mine to own a Boss 302 identical to the one my uncle used to own, which ignited my Mustang obsession when I was very young. My other dream is to be able to own a new Boss with the exact theme of my uncle's old Boss, as seen at the top and bottom of this page: http://www.theponycar.com/About_Me.html

Please, Ford, let me make one of my ultimate dreams a reality! PLEASE!

That's a really cool story John. Reunions like that rarely happen.

Offering a 2012 Boss with (optional) heritage paint/stripe package as shown on some of the 302Rs in the pictures would be neat. Expensive, but neat. Personally would be inclined toward the "Gurney" blue version if I had the wonderful dilemma of having to choose which one to buy.

Here's the dilemma though, and we haven't addressed it yet. They can go two ways with the car:

1 - Do a direct copy of the '69 and/or '70 302s, make them Rapid Spec packages you choose on the car. Use identical striping and details from those cars.

2 - Make a modern interpretation of it, using some parts already existing. Think of it as a modern twist on a classic proven car.

When Ford did the GT/CS, the prototypes had the exact stripes used in the final version. Even the white stripes that were used only in 2009 were seen in 2006.

I suspect that since they've gone to the expense to make the decal kits we've already seen, the choice(s) will be those styles.

Thanks Chris. I realize how lucky I was for that to happen. A lot of things had to fall into place for it to work out, starting with the owners following my uncle to have kept the car alive and well. And that was just the beginning. I think Ford's PR or marketing department should use my story for a commercial of the new Boss! Lol.

If I ever win the lottery, first thing I'm doing is driving to that guy's house with a blank check and hopefully leaving with that car! Lol.

Do you realise how disappointed I'll be if that doesn't happen now?

I'm surprised Priddy and the other prying eyes that hang out around Dearborn haven't spotted this yet and snagged pictures. Either that or someone hasn't paid for them yet because they didn't know any better.

'what we have here might or might not be anything special or might be'

Not exactly newsworthy yet, considering you don't even know what it is
No ones gonna pay money for something that could be a tester car for larger wheels on a future MY GT etc...

Once you start to see vehicles out that have defining parts, THEN I could see people making news of it.

I've seen them report those "something's not right" cars before on the major news stories, that's why I thought to mention of it.

That red 05-09 with the Bullitt grille, black wheels and KR mufflers had been posted on AB and other sites when the 2010 spy shots were first starting to show up...

You and your jester-attached comments. Every time I come across one, I feel like I should be reading more into whatever your comment was than what was typed. So, I've been doing so. And it's been driving me nuts. I'm going to have to send Jack Bauer to get the information you know out of you!
