I think the point he is trying to make is that just looking at the car, you don't know WHAT it is.

It COULD be an SE tester car underneath, large ammounts of parts, or down to a GT with a chin spoiler, a blackout panel and some shelby rims... that in itself doesn't mean its an SE or anything close to it.
It could even be a tester car for future GT parts, or even next gen testing.

And while its cool we have pics, I wouldn't go out on a limb and call it black/white...cause it never is.

The 05-09 had more '69 cues in it IMO.
Say what now?

I kinda agree with ya but...

You're right. I may be interpreting things differently than they were meant.

As for the car, I file it under "Things that make you go hmmmm."

Well played sir. I still see more of the '70 design in the sheetmetal, but it's still a few months from being totally revealed.

I have a couple questions I'm hoping someone in the know could answer. I realize I may get no answers, but I thought maybe one or more of these would be "legal" to answer:

1.) Are there going to be ANY Boss-only colors offered?

2.) Will there be a retro-styled (cough/Magnum 500/cough) wheel exclusive to the Boss?

3.) Is the Boss expected to be a 1 year S.E., or are they already planning for multiple years of production? I'm guessing if there are going to be performance enhancements on the Boss, yet they won't become "standard" on the 2012+ GT's, that they would plan on having more than one year of the Boss to make the work and costs of development more worthwhile.

It's nice to know that the new Boss might make an appearance in 2012 model year, but when will the 2012 model year actually begin? Will Ford continue the recent trend of beginning the Mustang's model year in the spring (Spring of 2011, in this case), or will the 2011 model year run longer (1.5yrs) and enable the 2012 model year Mustangs to make the traditional Fall release (Fall of 2011)?

I just hope the car shows up before the world ends...

You'll need a Boss to outrun it... or this...

It's been said 2011 MY will be long. Probably won't see 2012s until September/October next year. And I love the way the grille looks with the fogs deleted!

I don't know. Ford has a lot of 2011 models coming out right now, like the Super Duty, Taurus, Fiesta, and Edge. They might hold it another month or two and have the cars start building in May 2011 for 2012MY.

Perhaps Ford will offer both '69 and '70 stripe packages as options? I guess the fact the 302R that was used in the press releases points to the '70 graphics as the default.

That would be a cool option. Not only the stripes, but the grille depending on which "heritage" you choose.

No, just your typical, high end wheel. They're nice, but I think the SVT PP wheels are a more affordable, and good looking solution for an SE vehicle.

I agree on the good looking part, I only wish they were 18" so the tires could be more affordable. Otherwise, I'm going to be hunting for a set of track rims.
EDIT: I wonder what a set of 18" minilites would look like on the car.

Stinger1982's HRE's would be a close second.
