Irs is over-rated

More alignment issues. Irregular tire wear. More expencive to fix. Wheelhop issues (ask the 03 04 cobra guys)

And I forget the technical name but you get the tires wanting to point inward on hard acceleration.

Overrated? Ask the other manufacturers who use irs for their sports cars, both high and low end models. The whole Cobra irs issues stemmed from a compromised design which has been discussed Ad nauseam before. I'am sure Ford did their homework with the new irs before putting it in the new stang. One way or another Ford is going to implement it as a standard now.

IRS is over rated, just look at a VW Beetle (original), whole concept is obviously flawed and just a scam to make manufacturers more money.

Could you tell me why? The IRS issues have been brought up so how will that make your car faster/ better in the 1/4?

SRA not centered horizontally, one wheel more in front than the other one (as if one lower control arm shorted/longer than the other one ), SRA don't keep perfect alignment during hard cornering because of the panhard bar (thus many install Watt links), etc.... The cost and easy to service is definately advantage SRA, you got me there. As for the toe in hard acceleration, I believe you are right but that is why the manufacturers sets the alignment with a little bit of toe-out to compensate.

Not sure why this is even a discussion, is clear Ford (thankfully) made their right choice.

Sure, if the price and performance are right. I'd take a 918 type of system and a hybrid just won Le Mans so performance is there now cost needs to be addressed.
