Not bad and didn't Ford just actually show the thing to the press? This is all hype that benefits both the magazine and Ford. Ford probably approved the renderings to tease enough without giving it away before the official reveal.

So so on the looks....thought it would be a lot different with all the "European" styling that was talked about....don't see that much. Looks like a lot of hype for a small amount of change.

From what I read and hear. (Some by Dodge/SRT brand manager Ralph Gilles) The Cuda has been put on hold. Challenger will get a mild refresh next year 2014 as a 2015 model year. And mild it is as it appears to only be a slightly different front end and tail panel refresh. Interior will change a little as well. The big new with it is that it has been reworked for their 8 speed automatic transmission. So it looks like it may not be until 2017 or 2018 model year for a new Cuda from Mopar (if at all).
And Camaro should come off the Alpha platform in 2015 as a 2016 model year as well.
Again, I just don't feel like getting "caught" for the first year of a new model if BIG horsepower increases are on the way for the following year. Kinda like the 2010 GT with only 300 HP vs. the 2011 with the 5.0 Coyote and 412 HP. I guess its selfish to wish that if the engine is a holdover, it at least lasts for 2 model years until the next HP bump for a DI 5.0 V8.

Not sure on the exact engine weights but the GT500 still weighs ~3900lbs which is 200-300 more lbs than a GT. It's not so much a matter of whether we can add more power to offset weight, it's that all that extra weight especially in the nose makes for poor handling and handling feel as well as worse gas mileage. It's not acceptable IMO to have that in a $60-80k GT500.
Id like to see ford take it a step in the direction of the next gen M3. It's going to weigh 3300lbs and have 400+ hp and torque with 50/50 weight distribution. Id take that over 662hp and a front heavy 3900 lbs any day

All I'm saying is there's no reason to continue with having a fat poor handling Shelby when they have the tech to make one lighter, similarly balanced and with way more power than an M3. And if they can't do that then yes I will be buying an M3.

I think this 'might' be the real deal. Remember the Vette's leaked pictures were right on, months before it was released.

This whole article is just bait. It's a terrible summary of rumors and speculation, much of which has been proven irrelevant in the last month. There are renders of the car based on CAD images which appear much closer to the final product. This has been hinted at by several sources "in the know".

This rendering does not look much different from the latest renderings posted on TMS. Looks like current renderings were just embellished. I hope there is truth to the story about the voodoo engine. I can see the 5.0 GT going to 500 HP in the future, but do not see 500 HP right off the bat in the 2015 GT.

Don't know if they are targeting model year 2015 or not though. It could be there or I'd think 2016 model year at the latest. I'm interested in it but it will be way out of my price range. I'm going to guess around $60K.
