Ok lets pick it apart.

I don't care for the fake rear side scoop. It isn't a mid engine car there are no coolers back there and the rear brakes simply don't justify those drag inducers. The door doesn't extend close enough to the ground. I like that with gullwing doors but not with forward opening doors. Plus it makes the backseats even more useless and this is supposed to be a 2+2 not a two seater.
I can't see enough of the back to really judge. The roof blend to tail looks interesting but hard to tell. Three taillights would tie in with both the three head lights and the traditional Mustang taillights.

Well nobody judges the very top or bottom of a car usually so if you don't like the front or back that really just leaves the driver and passenger sides - hence 50% ![Big Grin](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Wasn't trying to pick on you though, IMHO it's pretty ugly. Looks a little like a bloated Chrysler Crossfire to me.

Mustang lovers have said the same thing when the 1967 redesign came out, the 1969 redsign and every change since...
So... if that is the truth.. why is there going to be a 50th anniversary model?
It's ugly, I'll never own another Mustang if that is what they are going to look like

By the time the Mustang ll came out in 1974 performance cars from the factory were history.
The Vette still had the LS4 454 in '74 with about 270hp still and wasn't a bad performer. Even the smaller L82 350, with a lot of good golden-age hi-po forged bits inside while pumping out a more modest 250hp as compared to the LT1 glory days.
So yes, American performance cars were in their death throes by '74, with the Mustang II being a particularly egregious case of rigor mortis (even if it did keep the name alive at least, though the car itself was better suited for disco than drag strip), but credit due to the last few standing soldiers.
It really wasn't until '82, with the much improved Fox chassis and the newly reintroduced GT with the H.O. 302 putting out a "healthy" 157hp that the performance car renaisance really began at Ford, now peaking at a then inconceivable 662hp GT500, over 4X what the '82 GT had (almost like an '82 GT with an engine for every wheel).

Yes that has to be my favorite rendering. I like the look of a Shelby GR-1 concept worked into a Mustang. I think perhaps what we will actually see is something like this with the Evos front end worked in. The rear of the Evos already looks somewhat similar to this.

FAVORITE
My favorite design all along has been Kyle Evans sketch...I know the 2015 design is locked in but hopefully Ford will take note of where most would like the design to go...Post to Fords Facebook and Ford Social:
