I'm not saying they weren't cool-looking, but it won't break my heart if it's a feature that's gone on the new car.

Thank you. I am not even a "mustang guy" and I know their history.

Are you guys are confusing the c-scoop with the trim on the c-scoop or am I confused? The 1965 Mustang most definitely had the c-scoop as did every Mustang up to '69. All coupes had some sort of trim located at the rear of the "scoop" though compared to the '65, the '66 had "strakes" added. The '67 had something akin to gills, and the '68 had simplified trim that looked similar to the '65's. Fastbacks did not sport this trim but still had the scoop indentation.

I like the c-scoop because it visually makes the car look leaner and tighter. I hated that they did away with it for the '69, instead opting for a convex shape that makes the car look bigger to my eye.

I really like how the sketch doesn't have any rake. I don't like how the rear end of the S197 is taller than the front. It's really noticeable in a vert with the top down.

Do you think it's ugly because it's not as wild as the other renders? It's the first one I've seen that has some real world potential to me. It's not over the top but carries on some basic Mustang design.

I'm guessing its fairly accurate. I'm anticipating more of a stylized or aggressive hood. The smooth hood looks too much of the 13-14 rehash.

You seem to forget that this community is the most scrutinizing group. The everyday joe will gobble it up because of its redesign.

I'm sorry I'm going to have to disagree with you a little bit there, I'm 17, about to be 18. No one in my age group seems to like the new fusion, if the new mustang has the same front end as the fusion I don't think it'll have to many young buyers. That's just my opinion based on what I've seen and heard from foo's my age.

I'm glad to see young men in the Mustang community. I was in my late 20s before I scored one.

Anyway, it's hard to tell from the camo mule. Hopefully we will all be amazed at what's underneath.

I hope so, I wanted a new 5.0 but decided to wait a little and see how the new mustang would look like, I want something with lots of power and better fuel economy than my 02 GT

I don't know. The conservative rendering looks more like they are going after the rental or Accord coupe market than sports car fans.

Nevertheless, I would probably still buy it, but with less enthusiasm.

The one aspect that the yellow and white one have that I could see it having is the minimized B pillar without actually getting rid of it. I could see it still technically having the "dorito" window but less obvious than the current car to give it more of a traditional coupe look.
