CF would be worse, costing you more in wrecks. CF is rediculous in terms of price. Though it is more durable than fiber glass. Plus, I think Ford is just going to make the bumpers and rockers out of a durable composite plastic, neither fiber glass or CF.

True true, never said CF would be any less better. But yea maybe see a few more aluminum body panels as well but then again that raises price too since you cant bend aluminum back into shape or else it starts warping

Interesting.......hints of the old Interceptor concept there, too.

Would also like to see the 2 small models in the background in more detail, too!

That roofline would make for a solid Linc.

Oh man, I would be all over a new Galaxie, that looks amazing!

+1 to TT's comment, and I'd also like to maybe see more of this one just past the hood of the galaxie

People are still putting too much weight on an Evos design. I think it'll be a closer shape to the S197 than people think.

If its going to retain some DNA from the S197 style mustangs, I hope the shape somewhat stays. There's a lot that can be said for using the shape, and a LOT of interpretation on bringing that look into the future.

I have 100% faith in Ford on this one. For as drastic as the chage might be for new buyers, it'll still have to retain its heritage. Like Hau said, it'll look Mustang.

I agree, I'd love to see the overall silhouette stay similar and evolve going forward. You said it best; there's a lot of room to interpret the design on that overall shape. I think some basic Evos cues, like a sharp character line between the upper edges of the wheel wells and the character lines of the hood carrying through the car could work. The front and rear can be very dynamic in comparison. They might make or break the design, IMO.

I think it'd be cool if they threw some little nostalgic "easter eggs" into the design too, like font in the headlamp detail and shapes of interior parts. Or, they could do something even more wild. Time will tell.

This is great. If they want a rear wheel drive sedan based on the Mustang then FINE! But call it a Galaxy or something else.
I like this model. The front is a little to Flex but other than that it looks great.
I love the roof line. Its' not a Dome or Bubble.
I think the Chevy Cruz looks good until you get to the roof line and it looks like they designed the car from the ground up, got to the roof and heard "You have 5 minutes to complete the design" so out came the protractor and they drew around it to make the roof.

If Mazda can drop 300lbs off the new Mazda 6 and still keep it competitive as far as price and size, then ford sure as hell can!

J Mays squashes existing rumors about the next Mustang (26:00). Whole video is quite entertaining for someone like me who still holds automotive design as their ultimate dream job.

Good vid, wish J had taken up the pen a time or two. He wants to talk about Mustang, you can see in his smile that he can't wait to show us what's coming.
