THIS is why I am waiting for 2014 (and the 50th Anniversary) instead of buying a 2011. This design looks truely modern while paying homage to the S197 Gen1 & 2s, but still LOOKS like what a Mustang should look like in the future!!! Whoever did this should get a raise!!!!

Now I have one request? The sketch of the entire car!!

Follow the link in my post..................go to the 3rd page of "automotive" and you'll see a rear 3/4 shot. Thankfully it won't let me link to it directly, 'cos the design falls down there. Pity, 'cos that front end it awesome, although I'd prefer the HID lamps to be round.

How many concept cars do we see at auto shows? A lot of them look so futuristic that you don't think they would come out within the next five years - and they don't.

A lot of renderings I see in this thread look sick and refreshing, but that was also the general consensus when modern-Bumblebee was introduced. What does most people call the Camaro's aesthetics now? Oh, yeah, "cartoon-ish."

I'd rather have a car that doesn't look like a prop for a movie set in the future (I mean decades into the future). That's just me, though.

Judging by the sales figures of the camaro last month, over 9000, which nearly doubled the Mustang, I would say that most people call the Camaro's aesthetics a deal closer, and ask where do I sign. Remember that "most People" and us Mustang enthusiasts are completely different.

Yep, 2006 and that info could still be accurate. Not a bad prediction. I quite liked this design when I first saw it, although it's perhaps just a little too Camaro-like.....and not enough of a shark-nose for my liking.

First thing I thought of was 'Camaro!'.

Uhhh... this sketch looks an awful lot like the non-homage-paying 2010-11 Mustang to me... Do the Audi-esque LED lights make it more a Mustang than the current model?

Yeah, I don't like that front fascia at all...

This gets my vote so far. I would buy this car today if it was made.

Eh, as much as I'd like to see FoMoCO do a technology showcase car like the GT-R, I don't find it's profile all that appealing for a Mustang.

I'd have to agree, as much as I admire the GTR, it's not a car that appeals to me, either asethically nor from a technology point of view.

I want a Mustang to look like a Mustang and it should take it's inspiration from the previous generations of Mustang

Looks like it has 24" DUBS on the front and 22"s in the rear. Lol.

This is what the current tail lights should look like. It's the clear bits in the middle that make them look awkward. I'm not a fan of the MUSTANG in the middle though. Take that out and keep the blackout panel and that's perfect IMO.

The full fastback is also great. Nice job!

+1, agreed, those taillights look much better, and rear blackout truly look to say Mustang...it needs no lettering...

I think you are correct. Taking out the clear parts of the tail lights helps it a ton. Where can you put the back-up lights, though?

Funny how common a question this is. The answer is anywhere. in the bumper, under the lights, a square like the 99-04, next to the license plate etc. There is no requirement for the back up lights to be part of the rear lamp cluster.
