Luckily i'm 20 and don't have kids yet haha!
I can say for sure that if i was older and i had a vacation planned with kids the vacation would be cancelled if my car was almost here!

But seriously, this is one of those differences between the States and Canada - Doubt I could have afforded a GT in my early or mid twenties. I mean, up here, that is pretty much a 50K car.
As far as cancelling vacations goes, well, my better half has teenagers, I told her today if the car is due when we are supposed to be on vacation the plans may change. Did not go over as well as I had thought, lol. I don't get it. Must be why I have never married or had kids!

Ive worked for over 4 years in "better than flipping burgers" jobs while still living at home and going to a community college for school to get a job as a mechanical designer. I.e., i havent spent much money on anything else.
Putting down a good down-payment to build credit and have a fun weekend car.

Question for the group -- about how long did it take for your order to show up in COTUS? A month? Longer? It has been three weeks since I placed my order and I do not show up in the system yet (I also do not have a VIN yet, so I am using my order number). I recognize that I am being impatient, but just curious what to expect.
2/6 Placed order with dealer
2/9 Order was placed with Ford
2/19 After Deysha's help I was able to get the order number and found the order was wrong.
2/20 Had order fixed.
3/12 VIN showed up
3/17 Estimated Delivery Date of 4/20
3/24 In Production. EDD still 4/20.
3/25 Window Sticker showed up. Deysha was dead on.
3/31 Production complete. Awaiting shipment.
4/02 EDD moved to 4/29 with 26 days left.
4/03 EDD gone. Still Awaiting shipment.
4/07 In Transit with EDD of 4/24.
4/17 Car arrived at rail yard. EDD moved to 4/21.
4/20 Salesman says Ford is holding several Mustangs at rail yard, mine included.
4/29 Delivered. Oh so sweet.
Had the Roush axle back single tips installed on 5/7. They are perfect, just loud enough and great tone.

Mine was built that week as well. It got shipped but was then held at the local rail yard for 12 days. The dealer said it was for the hood liner and the premium seats.
NOT CURRENTLY ACTIVE ON THIS SITE! DO NOT USE PM FEATURE!

I like to think my 69 convertible (Sheila) needed another garage mate so badly that all of the Ford mojo at our house set it in motion for us... 
Actually, I am still preparing myself for the full 10-12 week commitment. COTUS is not 100% reliable from what I have researched, so take my "luck" with a grain of salt... as Son of Growly says... the cars are on their way. We are lucky to have Deysha keep us entertained in the mean time.

According to Cotus and a call to my dealer today, it came off the truck this morning!!! Will be taking delivery most likely tomorrow!!! Thanks Deysha for all your help/assistance!!!!

Just spoke to my dealer. Said its on the move. 
YAYYYYY! The best part: they're giving me back my 2012 mustang as a loner until it comes in!
