I have not been waiting as long but I know what you mean. Mine was built March 4th and is sitting there in the factory lot where it would only take a few days to transport it to my dealer. I talked to my salesperson today. Since the order was entered, she saw delivery moved from this week, to next week, to now March 26th. Cotus has delivery of March 31st.

The wait is soooo painful.
2/6 Placed order with dealer
2/9 Order was placed with Ford
2/19 After Deysha's help I was able to get the order number and found the order was wrong.
2/20 Had order fixed.
No vin yet.
Waiting for my GT Convertible Ruby Red with Red Line interior (MT, 400a,3.55, spare).

Anyway, I talked to them about it, and they were not willing to give me as good of a price as the other dealer, so I just kept the order. I am better off this way though, as it gives the snow time to vanish, and also for the salt to be cleared from the roads.
Deysha is great about getting back to you for updates. Just remember, her information is much more reliable than the cotus site.
Good luck with the wait though. It will be worth it in the end.

After reading the posts on the wait time between production and transit, it surprises me that custom orders do not have a higher priority for shipment over general dealer orders for sale off the lot. With a custom order they have a car that someone wants and is ready to buy vs. a car that could sit on a lot for a month or two before it is sold. I would expect Ford would want to get that custom order to the customer ASAP so they could book the sale.

If you ordered a car like me you're basically already on the hook! Spit those cars out to other buyers! Just a guess, but probably no fact at all.
Mine was supposed to be built on Feb 2. Guess I'm pretty much in limbo with the rest of those other GT orders.

question for convertible buyers. Do the tonneau caps come with the car. Car arrived no caps for the roof, and they drilled the front bumper even though I was in 4 days earlier telling them not to and showed them I had an after market plate holder. So much for them listening to the customer

Check post #444. Apparently the parts department is supposed to have them.
As for the drilled bumper, I hope you asked for what you consider appropriate compensation for this. I'm not rude about it, but I expect compensation when my instructions are not followed on something that's very important to me.

The countdown is back on! My guess was right to the day too. When the hold up happened, I added 1 month to the countdown app on my phone. That is the exact estimated delivery date, 3/25. A 1 moth delay isn't bad at all. It's a bad week to get it, but I'll work it out somehow.

I understand how you feel. I placed my order a day after you and everything went through fine. Just after ordering it just as I wanted, one showed up at another nearby dealer identical to what I ordered. What are the chances of that? ...

On another Mustang Forum about 20 Cars have been Released, slowly but surely they're moving. Would be neat if it happened to show up on March 21, Hubby's 50th Birthday and I will let him RIDE in MY car for his BD.
