removing dealer stickers

A Man Just Needs Some....
I used to work for a dealership that changed their name to Rainbow Chevrolet. Yes RAINBOW. And of course it came along with a rainbow sticker on the trunk and a rainbow front license plate. Customers would take delivery of their cars and immediately drive around to the service dept to have the rainbows removed. Lol

Thanks again!
And Wow, Patrick, how long did it take to notice that on the stripes? I would complain to the dealer and see if they are willing to do anything. it may be late to do that now, but at least make it known how bad they screwed up. I picked my dealer specificaly because of the work ethic of the employees and its long standing good reputation.
I had some buddys back in high school who worked at a dealer, so i knew not to go to that one for any kind of quality work. They could clean a car nicer than a car wash, but that was it.
Pin stripes have no place on modern mustangs IMO. I guess I'll have to live with them. Kinda like a hot girl with a pimple on her forehead. If I don't look for it, it won't bug me. Lol

Yes dealer/factory installed and to think that "factory tape stripe" was listed on the window sticker and factored into the price. No need to sugar coat it, it looks like ....!

I'll check the window sticker again but I'm pretty sure that stripe was mentioned because I rolled my eyes that it cost 100 bucks. Someone told me that the dealerships dress the cars up with stripes to jack up prices?? I thought about taking it in but I no longer live in Texas and the dealerships here might laugh me out. I have no idea what my options are.

The dealership where I bought my mustang used emblems but I told them that I didnt want any of it on the car and they removed it, no problem.
A local dealership is always adding things to their base v6 mustangs to jack up the prices. I once saw a race red base auto v6 with a chin spoiler, hood scoop, window louvers, 18" black rims, and all the bottom valences were painted to match the body color, including the chin spoiler. I m not going to lie, it looked pretty sweet, but they jacked up the msrp to 31 or 32K. There s no way that it cost 7 to 8K for all that.

Yeah, unless you get the MCA pack, most of the exterior stylings are all dealer added. I want the side scoops and pedestal spoiler on mine so i had them add it into the price (but i took ownership of the car Friday when it came in and still have to wait for them to order those pieces!). I just did my homework though and wouldn't let them charge me a ridiculous price (or paint and labour for that matter).
Anyway, here is the back end now with the badge removed. Looks much better, now I just need to get my plates in....
Please pardon the poor cell phone picture.

I also requested that there be no dealer stickers on my car when I took delivery, but found it on the car when I walked out to it. I pointed it out to the salesman. It was late at night when we finished the deal and the service department was closed so he pretty much shrugged his shoulders at me.
I drove the car off with no further complaint...and then ripped their asses on the Ford follow-up customer service survey.
I used Goo-gone on mine.

There was no dealer sticker on my new Shelby when I drove it off the lot last month and I was very pleased they didn't try to stick one on it. Some things just don't belong on a car like that!

I always remove the badge or vinyl, then remove the residue or sticky stuff with an eraser wheel, available anywhere they sell quality paint and body supplies. I have debadged quite a few cars and requires very little effort.
