MGW Shifter Ordered
Well today i put my order in for shifter, its a Xmas present from my wife.
I see they mention they make them in batches and send them out.
Has anyone received theres recently? How long did it take.? I cant wait to get it, unfortunately theres no rush because i won't be able to use it till spring.

I ordered one last month for an earlier Christmas present to my self. They told me on the phone they would ship late December. Looks like we are all in the same batch...There is a good write up for install on another forum, if your interested in which one PM me...

I need to order this. I hate how the stock shifter becomes more vague when shifting above 4k. Missed third with an accidental grind. My stupid mistake though. Embarrassed myself driving down my local street.

I've had the MGW shifter in my 2012 V-6 for about 3 weeks now, so I can give you some feedback. I had my mechanic install it, I don't have a garage, jacks, etc. He charged $150.00, which I feel was way fair, he actually spent about 2 1/2 hours. MGW says 2 hours max, the guy at MGW can do it in about an hour.
As for how it feels...a little shorter throw, very tight and precise, more effort to get reverse due to the strength of the spring (will loosen some over time) and a bit more noise. Not really bothersome IMO. Overall, I'm very happy with it, feel it was worth the money. My car was ordered, built in Sept. 2011, so I'm not sure what changes, fluid was in my trans., but when cold (I'm on the CA. coast, so it rarely gets to freezing) the 1st to 2nd shift is "crunchy", doesn't grind or lock out, and seems normal after 4 or 5 miles. Part of the reason I bought this shifter, was to hopefully avoid any issues with the trans, this one being so precise.

I received mine yesterday from UPS . I ordered mine in early November and it turns out it was an extra one from someone who backed out from their order. I will do the install this weekend !

I'd love to get one of these ... but if my 6MT goes bad I'd be afraid Ford would blame it on the Aftermarket Shifter and deny warranty! Unless of course you go through the trouble of removing the MGW shifter and putting stock back in before going to dealer ...
