302 boss intake manifold

Requires custom calibration after installation.
Also requires additional parts available from your local Ford parts dealer for installation:
Ford Service Part # : CR3Z-9G297-A, Hose (1 pc.)
Ford Service Part # : CR3Z-9G290-B, Bracket (1 pc.)
Ford Service Part # : CR3Z-9J280-A, Fuel Lines (1 pc.)
Ford Service Part # : W506974-S437, Screw M6x16mm (1 pc.)
Ford Service Part # : CR3Z-9B659-B, Air Inlet Tube (1 pc.)
Yes it will fit perfectly ... but you will need to do some changes to make it work properly.
Here is a very good thread showcasing the install process:

Easy install. You will have to get it tuned. You don't have to buy the parts from Ford, you can do it for about $6 in parts from your local Autozone.
As far as power and torque is concerned, with the proper tuning you will gain hp AND torque from 5000rpm and up. It keeps building power past 7500rpm too.
A little video of my car after the Boss intake install.

There's not much of an overall peak hp gain. The biggest benefit over a tuned 5.0 is spinning it past 7000. Where the factory manifold starts to drop off the Boss holds the power longer. At 7500+ there's 20+ hp difference between the two. If you don't or aren't willing to spin the engine that high it's mostly a cosmetic mod

I just had a boss intake mani, steeda ProFlow, and tune along with my stainless works installed by Steeda and in my opinion it made a big difference. As you roll through 3500-4000 the car just pulls harder and harder the higher you wind it up. Also the power delivery is a lot smoother throughout. I can't thank Gus enough for the difference it made. I never felt a torque loss down low but I did go from a stock tune with cats to now catless with a tune.

I wouldn't do it everyday but ive done it a bunch and have no issues. I think to see the most out of the Boss you have to have other supporting mods like headers , throttle body , gears and so on. Me and my brothers car are basically the same only he has 3.31 gears and after we installed his intake today I think my car feels stronger. He needs new tires and hes getting them this week soon as they go on we're lining them up and see whats up

"Moving the powerband" isn't necessarily true. While there is a shift, there is also quite a bit to be gained. Most people will agree that over 5k rpms the coyote screams and pulls like a freight train with the boss intake. The low end lost is pretty negligible with a steeper gear.
I have one and I love it and I would recommend it to most

I just swapped a boss 302 intake onto mine this week. Love it so far. The power loss down low is very minimal in my opinion. Above 3000 rpm it pulls like a freight train up to 7500 and beyond. And it looks badass!

I can tell you that despite what some say about the "loss" in tq being no big deal, it is. I will consistently run dead even with my buddy's 13 boss. And he is a better driver too.

I took mine off, added an off road h-pipe and picked up 8 hp and 10 ft/lbs of torque over the Boss intake. I definitely miss the punch above the factory redline. But I found I really didn't wind it up that much. Gonna save the Boss intake for something different
