That actually looks like more fun than human beings should be allowed to have.

Lol .... thanks everybody ... the GF and I just came home from a meet with our club, about an hour and a half each way (something Tony will NEVER put his "green machine through, lol) ... it was an absolute blast to have both cars out, whining, exhaust blaring, tires scrambling for traction ... LOL ...

Finally got off my butt and installed the CHE relocation brackets and Steeda no-logo billet aluminum rear lower control arms.

Still have the Steeda "for lowered cars" upper control arm and the CHE axle brace to install, but this was a great start.

The "before" (BMR stuff):

And the "after":

And the main reason I didn't try to install the axle brace today:

Yes, the standard bracket for the back of the diff won't fit on the finned cover.

CHE has me covered though, they're sending me a different bracket, just for the finned-cover cars.

Got the smaller 3.25" pulley installed a couple days ago and loaded the revised JDM tune.
Felt stronger and today I got my feelings verified.
Went from 560 rwhp & 456 rwtq with the 3.375" pulley to 591 rwhp and 505 rwtq with the 3.25"

I'd say I'm pretty stoked with those numbers

Of course, a video

And the old-vs-new numbers ... 560/456 w/3.375" pulley, 591/505 w/3.25" pulley

It keeps the axle tubes from twisting on hard launches at the track

Steeda Upper Control Arm (#555-4098, "for lowered vehicles") now installed.

Before I installed it I stuffed some foam into the tube to try to minimize any sound transmittal from the rear axle into the cabin. This was a failed experiment as there is definitely more noise coming into the cabin now at highway speeds.
But the increased traction and firmer feel from the rear is a good trade-off.

Today I finally installed the CHE axle brace that I've had since before X-Mas.

First off ... I'm not impressed with the fit of CHE products ... On one of the CHE LCA relocation brackets I had to enlarge a hole and sure enough, on the brace install I had to enlarge a hole in the brace and 2 holes in the diff, and it was still a pain to line up.
I ended up losing a bit of axle fluid since I had to remove a plug on the forward part of the diff to be able to put a socket on the nut that ends up there, but I think that whatever fluid I lost was probably overfill since I'm pretty sure that's an inspection hole.

First driving impressions ... I like it.
It seems to have stiffened up the rear a bit more, giving me even better traction than the new UCA added.
And it's great peace of mind knowing that my axle tubes most likely won't twist at the track ...

Very nice! I'm thinking about doing the same pulley swap and re-tune this summer.

eBay

I scored one for $50 shipped, in black like I wanted (I've seen others painted in other colors), and in very good shape
