I don't either. I hate when people put them on with an impact, I'll come home and break them loose and re tighten them by hand. Always afraid I'll have a flat on the road somewhere and not be able to get them off with the puny factory lug wrench.
I thought you weren't supposed to use it for putting them on? I always try to use a torque wrench when I can.
Wheels look great. Looking forward to seeing them on the car.
I have always used an air wrench on mine over the years, without issue. (Knock on wood). I may be asking for trouble.
I also have always hand started them too.
I have also had a shop, once after getting new tires, cross thread one with an air wrench. That sucked. Even though it was months later when I discovered it, I took it back and made them fix it.

yep you know what they say, always get her started with your fingers.
That should avoid cross threading.
Impact is fine if you go slow. I always finger them first, slowly tighten with impact, then drop the car so that the tire is just barely touching the ground and use the torque wrench.
Initial thoughts: I absolutely love them! They look awesome. I think I do want to go another 1/4-1/2" lower though. I might try the BMR handling springs. Not sure about the black lugs yet. I love how they look on the wheels. I might black out the chrome and see how it looks. Wish someone made a black chrome or tinted side badge. I'm also thinking I may end up going a different color with my yet to be installed matte black stripe. Something glossy in a dark charcoal to match the wheels better. Something similar to a ghost stripe but slightly more visible. I'll try to get some slightly better pics later.

Nice Nathan! Very handsome. I agree, gloss charcoal metallic stripes would be better. And I think I like the chrome lugs and 5.0 emblems. Goes with the tribar emblems.
Ya, that's one of the things with the chrome. I've got the polished exhaust tips, tri-bar on the grille, faux gas cap. I want it all to go together. I love the black lugs, but it might look off to have all that blacked out but still have the charcoal wheels. I don't like the black on black emblems either. I'd want them either charcoal or a darker chrome. And I'm not painting my exhaust tips. I could go back to the stock grille, but I feel like the tri-bar is a big part of its personality.

I still haven't put my Boss grille on yet. Need to find time to paint my calipers gloss black first (white letters too, like the GT500s). Then throw my Forgestars on since I have 2 guys interested in the Centerlines. I also have the tribar side emblems, but probably not going to put them on since I had the emblems shaved. Did you do a V6/Boss deck lid?

Your car car is really clean looking. I'd probably leave the side badges off as well.

Me too. If I had a different color, the black accents might work better. But all black might not work.
I think I might switch to some dark charcoal ones. I've got matte black super snake stripes now but I've been too chicken to put them on. I got really close one day and had the car all ready, and then chickened out. I'll see if I can get a quote from the place that did my clear bra. A little pricey, but they do good work.

Thanks! I got some better pics in the driveway today. I'll try to get them on here later.
Ok, some slightly better pics. The chrome emblem sticks out like a sore thumb. And she's filthy right now. I'll get her washed once I'm done installing all my mods.
You can see how much they change color in the light. They look almost black in the shade and look more silver in the direct sun.

Looks awesome Nathan. 275s are decent right? I have an idea - grab another set of 5.0 badges, have them painted gray to match the wheels, do black "." and maybe the surround of the faux gas cap, leaving the chrome tribar of your V6 decklid. Then you have your chrome and gray on all four corners of the car, and leave the chrome lugs.
