On the other hand, I've seen the Challenger SRT8. It's pretty nice but it is not in the same league as the '07 - '09 GT500s, much less the '10 GT500's.
Sure but in those guys heads it is and that's all that matters to them. I'm interested to see how the Camaro SS stacks up. It looks like it will be somewhere between the Mustang GT and GT500 in terms of performance.

IMO, ADM's will not be a factor. The people who wanted a Shelby had the past 3 years to get their cars, and now have them. You'll get those who didn't get one, jump into the fray, but that total is rather low, compared to the tens of thousands the 1st few years. I know my boss said I could order one at MSRP (and will do so with a fellow forum member shortly). The "fad of ADMs" are over on this car, as more competiton will keep them off the car.

That's good to know since I'm leaning towards a GT500 for my next car.

That's good to know. It obviously proves they are not as smart as we are.

SVT does it again IMO and makes the best looking stang in the stable.

Not enough of a change to make me get crazy and trade up, but I think its a great looking car.
Funny, never thought the KR was worth the coin and now this car trumps the KR and then some.
Hmmmm lets see, a 2008 KR for 80k or buy two 2010 GT500's for 90k.......
PS, anyone found a pic of the complete rear end of this car?

Why is grabber blue with black stripes not an option. I looked on the order form and its white, red, or delete for grabber blue cars and stripes. Are they saving the grabber blue and black for another SE?

The 2008 GT500's were approx 46k without NAV and 48k with.....so it sounds about right with
the electronics package etc....including the SYNC.

I would not doubt it. Ford has a itching habit of creating patterns.

The difference is $3K with similar equipment plus the difference between Navigation/Sirius and the new Electronics Package option. The bottom line is about $4K more if fully equiped over the '09.

I'm just wondering, though, can a GT500 actually be purchased at the prices you listed?

How much is the gas guzzler's tax on the current GT500? Do you think the 10' will have the same tax even though it is expected to have better MPGs??? I figure it would have a smaller tax, I remember back in 03' the Cobra had the tax but the 04' didn't.

Way less than the $79,995 for the KR though. And since when has the list price of a car ever gone down. What features did they cut to try to make the car cost less? All they've done is add to these cars.

I have the same problem selling new homes. People want all the features and then balk at the price when you tell them. Do you want maximum square footage or do you want solid wood floors and granite countertops throughout?

$1,300 is the gas guzzler's tax on the current GT500.

I paid 500.00 below MSRP in June 08. MSRP is everywhere on AutoTrader right now for 08's & 09's...so yes. The release of the 2010 GT500 should force some discounting of the remaining
Shelbys out there too.

Well worth it and, and, and unlike the KR the '10 GT500 will be street legal.

Oh! Did I mentioned that before?
