I think he was referring to the computer tune and intake.

The tune... Thats what was thinking also.
I put my stock springs back in hopes of saving 85 bucks in parts.

just bought my 07 coupe today and noticed the clunking over small bumps...will be taking it in this coming week with tsb in hand. Apparently the wife's 06 vert is unaffected.

THANKS for the tsb info!!!

I almost shed a tear when I read a new TSB for this problem is out. Car is currently at the dealer, and they said on Friday that the strut mounts that are in the car right now are the updated ones, and they were installed 2 years ago (for the original popping problem)! And this coming from the service dept. head! It's nice to have something other than my word now, thank you for posting this.

Gonna try to take mine in tomorrow...i have Ultralites installed. Anyone know if they'll give me problems? My only hope is that i had it in before the Ultralites and complained for the same thing (before TSB was out) and they weren't able to duplicate it.

I took mine back today...with TSB in hand. I told the salesman (we haven't finalized the deal yet) that the TSB and the TPMS error would have to be completed/fixed before we went any further. He took it right back to service to have it done...so I'm driving my trade-in for the moment. I'll be keeping it if they don't tighten/quiet down the front end noise to suit me.

I just got mine fixed today and I'm happy to say that it is now quite. I am finally thunk free. The dealer was very good about everything they even gave me a Mercury Milan to drive which I might say is a very nice car.

Dave did you show them the tsb and that worked for them or did they actually have to hear the noise?

I printed out a copy of the tsb showed it to them and they set up an appointment to have it done. They didn't even take it for a test drive I was treated very good. Good luck with your dealer.

Yea the TSB is very new and most dealer's probably haven't had a complaint yet. We are huge outfit and have still only done a handful of tower caps from the original problems with the 05/06's. They aren't exactly available en masse, so expect them taking a couple days to order them in.

Has anybody gotten this update done with aftermarket (Eibach) springs installed? If I have to put the stock springs back in I might as well do the job myself.

They will get out of whatever they can won't they. Seems like that a known issue that is on many vehicles should be exempt from any aftermarket part exception in the warranty coverage. It could be argued that the springs did not cause the problem since it is common enough to need a TSB. And that they cannot prove that they are the cause.

dealer BS

dealer told me he can not cover TSB because i have aftermarket struts/shocks in there...

that is BS..there is a law about aftermarket parts saying that if it does not affect the defective Manufacturer part, the TSB or warranty should be honored...

so..does this mean a 2005 saleen can not get new strust mounts for this TSB since it has aftermarket saleen struts??
