Trivia Thread
I didn't know about the prototype. When I looked at the site I use for info, it said there was a 4.6l engine available for the 00 Cobra R even though that year used the 5.4.
There was supposed to be a regular 2000 Cobra as well as the Cobra R, it was scraped after the 99 fieasco. I think only a few Cobra's were built in 2000 for media and promotional events but none were actually put into production. There was supposed to be a Golden Eye edition with special Mystic paint too. One was built but who knows what happened to it.
You guys completely forgot about the original Cobra 'R' Mustang, 289/306HP 1965 Shelby GT350, although I'm pretty sure it put out a lot more HP than that

This is a multi part question.
1. What was the first year a 4spd was offered in a 6 cyl Mustang?
2. What was the name of that 4 spd?
3. Where was it made? (The name is a big hint)
4. Where was the bellhousing for that transmission made?

Thanks for waiting to see if anyone else could come up with it.
I would say those were not guesses but years of education at Ford U!
The Dagenham 4 spd was first offered in 64.5 (65 & 66) model Mustangs as a shared Falcon piece (60-66). It only mated to the 144 - 200 6 cyl. It was built in Dagenham England and based on the Cortina Syncromesh 4-spd. The bellhousing was cast at the Sheffield, AL plant (closed early '80s) along with many other FoMoCo aluminum parts. To my knowledge there was not another 6 cyl/4spd offered until 74 when the V6 was introduced. There are many who figured out that you cam mate a Toploader to an I 6 using a late 66 200 - mid 80's 250 using the v8 3spd bellhousing and drilling 3 holes!

Slop grey is a combination of left over exterior colors which typically produced a fair dark or very dark grey with a slight green or blue tint. Recycling by the head FoMoCo. kennyg
