As a future Shelby GT owner, I think the 2008.5 Bullitt is a great deal. The package cost about the same as GT/CS package but you get performance equal to (or with the 3:73 gears, better than) a Shelby GT for $1000s less (hopefully no gas guzzler tax).
There will probably initially be some ADM, but hopefully it won't last long.
For the newbies on here that are shocked by the "negativity" in this thread...it happens everytime a new "SE" comes out. The GT/CS was slammed, the Shelby GT was slammed, and even the GT 500 (most people were really upset when they switched the hood from the concept one).
Just standard ops on TMS.

Great looking BULLITT! You did a great job on the exterior, better than Ford, and commend you on the fantastic job you did on the one of a kind hood.
The one set back is the tacky stick on interior trim pieces, a la Roush. They look cheap and out of place. No offense meant.

Sweet ridge, but I'd remove the wood from the door handles, headlight switch, and especially the air bag cover on the steering wheel (the pony tri bar looks better). Its just too much. I never understood why trim kits have to cover every detail of the interior. Just cover the dash and center stack. Everything else looks great, especially the GT500 bumper and grille.
Grill needs to be more open (NOT blocked off), but I think it is just fine.
I really like the finished look of the CAI - doesn't have that aftermarket look of the regular Ford Racing piece.
Cheers

All in all there's quite a lot of functional content for the price. Impressive package, IMO.
I can't get past Ford's decision to use that tacky '76 Firebird Trans Am dash treatment! WTF does that have to do with Bullitt, anyways? I mean, they could have skipped that, used the dark (or light) IUP, and put the money towards twin hood vents.
