To me, the Shelby GT's ride is firm but not harsh. Just right. I don't think they will lower it much. The California Special bumper is about 1 1/2 lower as it is. When you add in the 1 1/2 drop from Shelby, you really can't clear most parking curbs. (at least it is so close you don't want to try.) My bumper measure about 5 1/2 inches from the ground.
1.5" lower ... hhmmmmm ... kind of a drastic drop from a factory ride height in my opinion but then again we won't know until it comes out. Kinda makes Ya wonder if the base standard GT ride height is a little too high ... (???)
I'll say this; if the factory handling mods on the 2008 make the same difference as they did on the 2001 then the new 2008 owners are gonna love it for sure ... I LOVE the way my 2001 BULLITT handles ... I just wince sometimes when I drive along over something (ANYTHING I drive over) because I couldn't change lanes to avoid it.

My brother has a Vortec blown 01 Bullitt
I think Mach and Bullitt used the exact same springs and tokiko shocks.
I'm going to order two Bullitts tomorrow, one with nav and hids, one with just hids(which I may buy). Both DHG of course, pass on ordering any black ones.
