Hey, it's hard waiting for a Mach1 that may or may not come out, so I have high hopes that the GT/CS may do the trick. If not then I keep waiting or maybe buy an 07 and send it off to Fang Performance.

As usual, I am a little late to the dance on this one...but I am curious, what are parts number 500A74 and HM5? A new antenna?

Also, what is 51728, it doesn't seem to be indicated as going to a particular part of the car?

that scoop needs to be wider imo and I really think it needs something in the grill.

It doesn't need a hood scoop, it needs louvers in the hood like the original GT/CS. It also needs to hurry up and get here so I can have my '68 GT/CS and this one!!!

I'm really surprised there haven't been any spy photos of the GT/CS special. Hopefully it will be revealed at the Autoshow along with the Shelby.
I've looked at the NAIAS show page, and they do not mention an entry for the 2007 California Special, just the 2007 Shelby GT500 Convertible as far as the Mustang is concerned. But it does say there are more unannounced products to be at the show, but I don't really think the GT/CS is something that they would be trying to keep a secret to the last second.

The Los Angeles show is running at the same time, and if anywhere, the L.A. show would be the appropiate place to show the car, since it is in California. But, taking a look at what has been announced at the L.A. Show, Ford doesn't have anything listed, so just maybe it will be there.

After that, the other big shows are the Chicago and New York shows, but it would just make the most sense to show it in L.A. Guess we'll find out in about a week or less.

I am willing to bet that this is just an appearance package. Consider yourself lucky if this car has 10-15 more H.P. then a regular Mustang GT.
I like what I am reading, but I'll wait till there is a significant H.P. increase - 350HP - 400HP

With no show car this has to be just an appearance package just like the pony package on the v6.

Actually the pony is more than appearance. It consist of 17" wheels like the GT with z rated Pirelli tires. It also has enhanced handling due to the GT inspired suspension.

I thought this whole package was strictly a V6 soup-up package--sway bars, wider tires, stripes & badging. If my trade in would have held out another year I would have been all over this!

For some reason now..without the fogs in the grille... it looks like its missing something...
Racing Stripes and a smaller grille pattern.

Why? This could be a sign of a N/A 5.4L in a new Mustang. Or it could be a "pony package" for the GT models. Either way Ford is trying to give people more options from the factory, which is a good thing.
I heard it was going to be a V6 model...
