The California Special at the Sema show had a ducktail (remember the blue vert with the white stipes?). The one we saw in the spy photos had what looked to be the standard GT spoiler.

Wonder which one makes production...

My money is on the standard GT spoiler but I'd rather see a ducktail

I really like front-end treatment on the 'proposed' GT/CS. Very Roush-like. No ridge above the license plate. So now all that remains is:

1. Price. I know Ford did a nice job bringing the Pony Pkg to the V6 for $1195. I expect the GT/CS to be more, but just how much more? Remember there's no performance increase (AT THIS TIME). So what will doodads cost us?

2. Will we have the option for Tape Stripe delete like the Pony Pkg? As far as that goes, how about Spoiler delete? Will either be an option? Both? Hmmm...

3. And now there is a hint on the board of a Mach1 coming soon. Prolly with the Shaker hood. Are the same folks who saw the GT/CS pics and now really stoked about it gonna wait? Bigger pricetag, and oh my, the insurance hit...

If it's priced right (GT/CS), I'm really diggin' it. Non functional scoopy things and all!

Thoughts? Comments?
I hope its dirt cheap if that's all they are doing. The Pony package is a steal. Considering its over 700 for ABS/Traction control as a standalone, with the pony you get:

Spoiler
Side stripes(better then the ESAP)
Special mats
GT front and rear sway bars
GT 17" wheels and tires with pony caps
Fog lights/grille chrome and switch
Extra badging

all for only an extra $450 or so and thats at MSRP!

Shouldnt be a dime over $400 if that's all they're giving you for the CS, even with a ducktail. It should be considered the ESAP for the GT.

I would like to see the GT/CS with a side stripe delete and spoiler delete option...

I wonder if the side stripes will be dealer installed. If so then just tell them to not do it.

Still Listing ONLY Black Stripes. That would Limit Color choices in my opinion. No Spoiler info.

Now if I could get it in Vista blue w/ white stripes I would sell my original GT/CS for this one. That would be the closest color combo to the one I have now

Not sure how many parts it will share with the GT500, but if Ford is going to use the rear bumper cover, who's to say they won't use the 500's ducktail?

I can always dream!

Wondering if the rear bumper will be completely painted unlike the shelby which has the black trim around the bottom of the car 'motif' goin on.

I love the shelby fascia, but as much as it would make the GT/CS better, I think on the other hand it dilutes the GT500 a bit. I personally think the SVT model should be as distinctive as possible.

Kevin, a little off the subject but do you think that the Shelby front bumper would fit on a GT? Or would we need the Shelby hood as well?

Though I like the Shelby front fascia, I don't know how well it would work with fog lights in the grill
