ok I'm going to throw this out there.. Has anyone been looking around for 2011's?? Where I'm from there aren't any. there are as many 2010's on the lots as 11's around me. The local dealer (whom I'm good friends with) Was telling me that as of late it's seeming that the stock units are showing up quicker then the retail order outs. He gave me an example of a customer that ordered an f-150 when the 11's came out and it literally took months to get. My personal opinion is that they can't sell whats not on the lots so they are throwing out stock units in with these retail orders to stock dealers lots since they have almost no mustang inventory going into the spring buying season. Just my .02 take it for what it's worth.

That should be correct, mine's only 4 digits as well. And, I think all other's I've seen have been 4 digits. If you have the order number and dealer number, you should be able to contact Ford Customer Service for a status.

Well I don't know how long it will be before I get my car, but it just got a little cheaper!
Got my $750 certificate, dealer said they would lock it in and apply it when the car gets here! Woo hoo!

The Flat Rock plant only works one shift a day, five days a week? That explains some some of these delay problems.

My salesman never heard of a DORA. Either she's new or playing naive. I got that feeling from the first day i met her...She said...you learn something new everyday.
Still can't believe our original salesman was fired (or quit) the day before we came in to see him to order. He lives a few houses down so we can't wait to pass by in the car.
Her and the manager said that doesn't come til Ford pulls the order. I tried to say that's not true but whatever...i don't want to be a nuissance. It's probably not nice to ask the manager and the salesman the same question...Thank you for the heads up on the rebate lock in too.

Not sure if you know but what does build day mean? Does it start getting built on that day or is it completed on that day? All subject to change of course (notice it always gets worse and never better).

I REALLY understand that feeling! I check for mine at least three times a day; always get the "not found..." message. Mine supposedely has a build date of April 11th also, was April 4th... Oh well.
