VIN, Build, Delivered: The 2012 Edition

Letter from Deysha
Just got this response from Deysha from Customer Service yesterday. I ordered on 12/7/10 and wanted you to know what i was told from her. I thank her for the response, but hope the retail order delay is not long.
Hello Mike,
Thank you for reaching out to me. I have checked on your 2012 GT order status and it shows your vehicle as “Unscheduled-Clean”. This means that your order has been received, successfully edited, and is awaiting scheduling action. Once your vehicle receives a schedule to build day, it should then get a VIN and ETA. This gets done randomly. However, I have noticed that the orders that are building and moving along are special orders, like the BOSS 302 and Shelby. I also did see a delay on retail orders, but not sure why. Please keep checking with me weekly for updates.

Picking up my 2012 tomorrow... I believe I might be the first person on the forum with one! Already set up my Sync account online and I'll be bringing my DSLR with me and taking lots o' pics. I seriously cannot freakin' wait. Nerves are getting to me...
On another note, I'll be paying about $1200 a year in insurance on mine in MD. Is that about average for most people? I'm 27 and have one wreck 2 years ago.

He's too busy breaking it in to post. He also had a Steeda tri-ax sitting at his house, might be installing that already.

Snowstorm up here today so that helps me wait Who is Deysha and how can we contact her? I'd like to know if a GT/CS is considered a special edition? Because she said the special models were moving...

I called the dealer today, he said he's pretty frustrated with Ford. I ordered it on dec 15th and he still doesn't have a build date. He said the same thing is happening with the explorer.

Deysha is the Ford Customer Service Rep (Ford Customer Service is a member on this site). I don't think the CS would be classified as a special order as it is a option like the GT package where the Boss and GT500 are limited run vehicles.

Malie, the Tri-ax hasn't gone in yet; that's tomorrow, along with unplugging the skip-shift solenoid and removing the foam from the induction tube.
OAC_Sparky, please update my status to DELIVERED.
