We get ripped off here. I do not have the Nav in my Shelby and Turn By Turn Directions are not available in Canada. I just do not understand why

I have the THX system in my Lincoln MKS and love it. Best sound system I have ever had, in a car and at home.

Turn by turn directions is good. EP is better. I had a budget, so I passed on the EP. If you can take the added cost hit, I say go for EP. But if not, you will probably still be happy with turn by turn.

Does turn by turn work on 2011 GT with EP? I can't figure out how to get to it if it does. Not same as my 2011 F-150 to access.

I think if you have the EP, the Sync site sends the info to the Nav system and uses it's turn by turn directions.

The call in Turn by Turn is only available via regular Sync. The EP leaves it all up to the Nav software (no call in/live operator). You would think this would be clear on the Ford website but it's not. In fact I found that most of the systems nuances are completely impossible to find documented in a clear fashion.

RyleyinSTL, is correct! The Turn by Turn directions feature was created so customer that didn't purchase the nav option would be able to obtain directions.

If anyone has any SYNC or nav related questions feel free to send me a PM

I went for the EP for two reasons.. first the climate control, second the navigation system

I like the EP. When I was in the US it was mega great to have. I don't care so much for the dual control A/C. I think it is a waste. Car is not big enough to have separate climate controls. I love the built-in hard drive, the IPOD connection, and that beautiful screen. Adding real guages to that screens menu options would be sweet. hint hint

No sync is a 1 time fee you pay for when you buy your car. The services feature is only free for 3 years.. after 3 years is up I think its just under $100.00 per year after that. The turn by turn directions are used in conjuction with your Sirius Satelite Radio AKA Sirius travel link. This used your GPS in your car to allow you to get turn by turn directions.
