Some news I just found out that you might also care about.
Apparently those adjusting collars on the perches need to be mounted with the extended shoulder facing upward, to keep the springs from rubbing against the threads and possibly ruining them.
Really nice of Steeda to ship them upside down, picture them upside down on their web site, and not say anything about it

This is the second pic on their site, the one you have to click on to see, and it shows the correct way to install the freakin thing:

thanks Gabe! Holy thread revival! You stalking me and my threads?

Yeah when it gets warmer out and I can actually drive her, I'll be doing a whole bunch of mods.

Steeda adjustable rear spring perches along with their Steeda/Hypercoil rear coilover springs in a 200 lb rating.

The coilover springs are quite a bit shorter than the regular Sport springs, so they're definitely needed when installing the adjustable perches:

Post some driving review once you get in on the road. What springs do you have in the front? What shocks and struts are you using?

Gabe looks good!

My setup though does not include that rubber boot. Was I supposed to reinstall those on the perches? Ooops if I was. I've been running them like that (see my pics on page 2) for over 2 years, no issues. I don't think I'll change anything... but just curious. I don't have the rubber piece or the cap.

As for the ride/drive, you can see from my prior posts that it has been AWESOME. I love the setup. Gabe has the exact same setup as me (except his fronts are the older Konis).

When you say 'the cap', are you talking about that dome where the perch is sitting on? I couldn't tell from your pic as they are a little bit dark.

I am currently using Roush lowering springs. Do I select the 200 or 175 lb spring?

I meant the black cap that is on top of the black rubber that Gabe has...

Me? I love the new set-up.
I have adjustable 05-09 Koni shocks/struts with GT500 front upper mounts, front springs are still the Steeda Sport springs I installed when I installed the Konis, about 2 years ago I think.

The rubber seat was installed on the car from the factory, it was under the factory springs and I re-used it when I installed the Steeda Sports.
I figured I should keep using it when I did the perches and I just moved it from the factory perch to on top of the new perch.
You may want to at least check the threads of your perches where the springs are rubbing on them.
Having the perch adjustable part (the "collar") with that shoulder upward will make it so the springs won't rub against the threads and damage each other.
I definitely plan on flipping mine upside down.

Yeah it's a firmer ride but controlled. Feels planted. Feels good.

This thing?
It was another factory piece. I popped out of the top of the factory perch and stuck it onto the Steeda perch to keep dirt from going into it

Burton, did your perches come with an adjusting tool?
Mine didn't, I'm looking them up and it looks like it's another $15.70 for the thing, plus shipping ...

Nice Gabe! So you took the rubber boot out that the springs were sitting on before? See mine doesn't have it either!

The rubber seat actually kinda fits, but the spring fits so snug over the raised shoulder of the adjusting collar, there's absolutely no room for the rubber to fit in-between the spring and the side of that raised shoulder.
I actually cut a bit of one of the rubber seats' tops, to see if it would go down lower, and it seems like it did, but the spring still wouldn't sit down fully until I removed the rubber seat altogether.

Oh, and about the set-screws ... they have little attachments at their tips, which make "threads" when the set screw is screwed in:

As you can kinda see in the pic above, the attachment isn't lining up perfectly with the threads (at least not in that pic), but the attachment moves freely against the set screw, so as long as it's lining up with the threads when you thread the collar onto the center piece, the set screw will push it against the threads on the center piece and not damage the threads

So, at 3 inch setting on the perch, your fender height is 29 inches? My car with the Roush springs now is also at 29 inches. I am rub free about 90% of the time. I might still get this adjustable perch and spring though. btw, for everybody's info, my rear wheels are 20x10.5 +45 offset, and my tires are MT 305/35/20.

The measurement I was going by in those pics is 2 1/4" ... that's how much is from the axle to the area where the spring sits.
And yes fender height is "about" 29 inches.
Varies from side to side, will get re-adjusted again soon

Got it. In my case, if I have the same perch and spring, I may have to set it at 2 3/4 to add another half inch to my fender height.

Can you take pics when you have made your adjustments?
