Interior pics!
It is also an early development mule with ungrained, uncolored parts. Remember the ones with the guy in sunglasses, driving with the cellphone? That had the aluminum dash panels.
Trust me, these are not the final colors or final materials. It will trash Camaro and Challenger ( and Genesis too. )

The dash will certainly look better with the silver IUP trim...
I wonder what the auto shifter will look like?

Well I like the new interior is nice enough. I appreciate the upgraded materials, soft touch surfaces, better fit and finish with more complete trim.
However I would miss the character of my big chrome ringed round vents and gauge cluster too much to do without them.
So there is nothing about the 2010 that makes me wish I waited for it. Nothing is saying I gotta have it or that I regret buying my 08. If anything I am relieved that my 08 has an appeal that will never be obsolete.

If you see the center of the guy's driving wheel, its a cobra emblem.
Also, today's Mustang has the base ( black ), IUP ( alum ) and Shelby ( really dark alum ) so I don't see them pushing the bright alum dash up to Shelby and leaving the regular Mustang w/ nothing.
when i get this car im not gonna let no kids rid in it lol
i had a truck and its outside looked good but the inside was total rubbish because my lit bro and sis kicked everything and threw stuff :/

was at a car show saturday and took this pict of the interior of a
1968 GT/CS. with people saying the new interior looks more modern,
i would have to disagree with them and say its more like original.

By those, I assume you mean the Hyundai Genesis coupe. A rear drive 200 HP -300 HP sports coupe doing it on 2 less cylinders per HP rating in these times of fuel economy-minded shopping certainly does count, especially on the eastern, west and southern coasts where the Buy American feeling is not as deeply rooted as in the Midwest. There will always be the diehard Mustang fans ( like me ), but we tend toward GTs. The Mustang needs volume to survive, and that means moving V6s. The Hyundai w/ its 10 yr warranty and feeling that Fords are old technology unreliable cars in the import heavy coasts certainly can take a bite out of V6 sales.
The 350/370Z is relevant as well, but on the higher end of the GT price scale.
And this is exactly why the Mustang must be updated and modernized in appearance and technology depsite some here feeling it should continue w/ unchanged styling, and manual steering.
If you really want a car with the same styling and technology as a 1965-70 Mustang, then you should take your $30,000 and buy a nice $25,000 classic Mustang and spend the other $5,000 on a beater.

I think its a modern version of the 1967-68 original. A very nice update, especially if it has the upgraded materials everyone is talking about!!!
Certainly better than the disjointed pregnant Camaro and the ugly "lifted-from-Magnum" Challenger.
I really don't understand the comments stating the old interior was more "retro" and the new interior is more "modern". It is really puzzling how one can say that the new interior isn't retro enough when it is such a close representation of the interior of the '67-'68 Mustangs. Maybe they have never actually seen the interior of a vintage Mustang?

I don't know where you got the idea that I'm in love w/retro. You may want to review the thread and express your opinion to the appropriate party.
Ford was probably saying that 30 years ago too. Now, Toyota has over-taken them and the company is in panic mode.

Maybe Hyundai isn't tageting the 'stang at all. Maybe they're looking to take sales from Nissan and Honda.
I see the Genesis being more of a threat to the 350-70/Scion/S2000/WRX/Mitsu segment. I have more concerns over Camaro/Challenger, and am amazed at how many people are ready to abandon the blue oval over them.

I feel like the Genesis Coupe was more of an afterthought - hey, we have a great RWD 300-400hp platform, lets make a sporty coupe out of this.
And I'm not sure what's going to happen to the Tiburon, but the Genesis Coupe isn't going to replace it. The Tiburon is in the integra/rsx/solara/civic/focus/cobalt/etc cheap FWD "sporty" car segment..
Import take on an american car.. hmph. Self centered americans.
(jk.. I was born here)
We shall see. The Genesis looks like it's going to be a competitive car. Competition is good for us. Ford will have to build a better Mustang or lose market share. In other models, they've lost market share to the imports.
