That stinks. I didn't realize it was shutting down. Thanks for the info.

Wow you're right. I asked several times but he kept telling me that they were building it now and would advise of the ETA.

Wow... the first week of August is when yours is being built? **** I'm sure mine is then too. That means two months from order to build... this is going to be painful

Google map New Boston MI. Look a bit north of the city and you will see a rail loading area. This location is NE of the plant in Flat Rock. There is a rail loading area at the plant, but a bit smaller.

I did drive by the plant today, ghost town. Lots of Mustangs in the lot next to the plant. There were more across the street but tough to see due to the pine trees along the road.

Get a load of this. My dealer informed me today that apparently Ford has lost the paperwork for my car and they don't exactly know where the papers or my car are currently located. My ETA is still 5/6 according to VV and Ford CS.

Cars are not at all built in VIN order. The situation is more pronounced at the beginning of the model year, but it is still true now. So your car may be built earlier (or later) than the one above.

As far as I have able to discern, the first few cars were built in this order:

VIN___ Blend #
101300 0001
101646 0005
106722 0007
100330 0009
101636 0012
101694 0014
100407 0016
101873 0018
100319 0020
105160 0022
100405 0024

The first non pre-production VIN is 100294.

I hope that's the case but I'm not counting on it

I wonder who is scheduled the last 2 weeks of July, I've only seen like 1 person with a date in that time frame.

Unofficial Rule of Thumb for auto enthusiast forums:

Over 75% of the buyers that either per-order their cars before they go into production or before the cars show up at the dealers are enthusiasts. About 90% of these people will or already do belong to an enthusiast forum. (68%) And because of the 3-month lead time from the preorder to build these people will collect into a seemingly large group waiting for the cars to be released.

Only 50% of buyers that buy vehicles after production cars get to the dealers are rabid enthusiasts. Only 50% already belong or join a forum before the car arrives. (25%) Because production is underway, there isn't a logjam of people waiting.

Wow...Ford's tracking system is worthless!!! Seems like they only update it once a week.

Earlier today my dealer saw the update as my car still being at Ramp 5M. Now he just texted me saying its been updated and says my car departed from Ramp 5M a week ago on June 26th. I doubt I'm lucky enough for it to get here tonight, but I am hoping to see it by Monday =)

Allow me to clarify my ADD-induced rant. Ford lost the papers on my car and due to this, they're not sure where the car is located. Yes, they lost an entire car along with the papers needed to locate it. Lovely.

Camaro Vehicle Tracking

Not a Chevy site.

About US

Camarotracking.com was established by a group of car enthusiasts who decided to get together and help other car enthusiasts track their car through the order and delivery process. Along the way we have realized that this would also be beneficial to not only the customer, but also to GM and the Dealerships that support them. We have developed this site to be a one stop way for you to track your car from order to delivery.
Sounds like what used to be done at BON for Fords before it got f'd up. Not just by Ford, but the customer as well.

Chevrolet did this same crap to the camaro guys too, they actually had a option code to designate early orders, i think it was R6P, and there were horror stories over there about cars being delivered out of sequence and after dealer orders. So Ford has done a pretty poor job based on reading this thread, but Chevy didnt do much better.
