I'm super excited!! First new car! Edit: Cotus now updated delivery to 07/08/14. Hopefully I get lucky and get better incentive/rebate!

So I went in today at 1:30 on my lunch break to get the paperwork going. They had the confirmation that the car WAS going to arrive today, but hadn't landed yet. I know one of their techs and had requested him for the PDI, and it had been assigned to him already. Did the paperwork and was leaving, but decided to do a lot creep on my way out. As I come around the back of the building, there's my car, being backed off the truck. Delivery is scheduled for tomorrow at noon!

Any updates? I saw my car go from "in transit" back to "awaiting shipment". Seemed a bit early to ship, but who knows? A few days ago the cotus site had an estimated delivery of 07/08/14, but now is just blank with no ETA.

Yeah it was DEFINITELY worth the wait. Makes me smile everytime I come out and turn the key. Looks great, sounds great, feels great. My options (Track Pack, Shaker Pro, backup cam) were the perfect choices and I haven't wished for anything else, aside from MAYBE auto climate control...but didn't want Nav and it was a package deal. The color trim and little stitching details of the 401A package, not to mention the beautiful shift **** makes the car feel special. I've given myself a pat on the back for every choice I made and didn't make with the order process and I honestly don't think I'd do anything differently. Even the black...it's a pain to keep clean but dammit if it isn't the baddest-*** color in the catalog when you put in the work.
Like others have said, it's amazing the number of looks this thing gets. Could do without the 10+ year old imports (along with the strangely insecure Challenger/Charger/300C drivers....Camaro's don't do this) that keep flying by, slowing down, dropping back, flying by, rinse, repeat until bored. But hey, I'll take it as a compliment. This is offset by all the thumbs up and nods from other Mustang, and particularly, 5.0 drivers...and you don't see a ton of 5.0's around here.
Worth the wait and then some.

I totally agree with you, Lakeguy. This car was totally worth the wait! I can't begin to express how many compliments i get from strangers! its insane. here is a snap shot of my dashboard this morning. i'll easily have over 2km by the end of this week... i'm happy to have bought the V6 model. it packs one hell of a punch yet, has very impressive fuel economy.
