2014 Ordered/Built/Delivered Thread
I absolutely LOVE my glass roof! I'm not worried about it opening, I get plenty of air with the windows down or I can crank my AC. It's my favorite option I chose by far, and it gets a LOT of attention. If you enjoy being in the sun without burning, the glass roof is amazing! Just my two cents.
Its been 6-8 weeks on average for most. You also have to remember that the Mustang is build on the same line as the Fusion. There may not be a ton of Mustangs being build there is a ton of Fusions so the 2 combined make for the longer build times. Your dealer should have told you 6-8 weeks minimum for a build. Message Deysha our Ford rep on here and she can help fill you in on the process times of your car. Hope this helps.
i could not believe it either when i saw mine. everything was going so fast and they said i was a priority 01, then i get the window sticker and its 4 weeks until the build date, so its at a stop now until they build it, 3 weeks from tomorrow.
I feel your pain. It was funny. When the GM sent me an email early last week with my VIN he indicated that he had spoken to the Ford rep to help expedite my build and thought the car would arrive the 2nd week of April based upon the thought that the build would take about a week once the VIN had been assigned. LOL

I'm with you, I think the glass roof is great, if I was worried about it opening I would just get a rag top.
the first time I test drove one I knew it was a must have! Not only does it look great on the exterior, but is gives a great and unique view on the inside that also brightens up the cabin.
Just checked the web site and it shows my car waiting shipment. Don't know if this is true. Guess I need to contact Deysha to get the real down low. ETA now shows 4/4/14
hi everyone, seems strang that those of you who have ordered after my 1/13/14 order have received your mustangs. I live in Connecticut . I ordered a premium v6 on 1/13/14, received vin 2/24/14, production 3/3/14, dealer says eta 3/21/14. e-mailed deysha and she says eta 4/14/14. we shall see ! strangly the dealership has advertised the car on their web site even though they do not have the car !

that would be great, and since we are getting built the same day, hopefully mine comes in early too, but mine has to come to phoenix, az. my $750 expires 5/9 i think, i may have to try and order another to see if the date is extended.
whoa, just found my car listed for sale on my dealers website (with no pics of course since it isnt there yet and no price listed) with a stock number and all...should probably talk to my dealer tomorrow and make sure to have them pull that so another sales guy doesnt accidentally sell it out from under me...eek

Its just a stupid way Ford shows inventory now. I don't like it if you ask me. When you call, they will say the same thing. Just wanted to alleviate your concern & worry.

Hey bud, I read your post. It isn't your dealer doing that but Ford itself. Their new inventory system shows ALL cars the dealer has including inbound sold units for customers. Cars that aren't even there yet. Ford revamped the dealer locator over a year ago and before the switch, sold retail units never showed unless the retail unit was over 30 days old on the lot (and that only happens when a deal falls through.) Now everything shows. I know this as my customer's 2014 GT500 showed up on our site early last year even though it was sold. Nothing to worry about as it was sold.

That would make it 3 months from the order date......
