My dealer said there was a $500 email coupon available by email, but he did not know how to get it.

Is that what you received, and if so how did you get it?
The only coupons I have ever gotten have been for $750 and I always got mine through the mail. Could the $500 be an Auto Show rebate???? I have never heard of a $500 coupon for the Mustang.....

At what point can you no longer change your order? When you get the DORA?

EDIT: Got the DORA a few minutes ago, sales guy said now is the time to change it if I want so looks like I've got a tiny bit of time left...he said his rep told him they are going to start the build process late this week/early next week (which I assume just means scheduling).

Deysha - thanks for the PM reply; as always I (we) appreciate your constant help.

Mustang is waiting shipment... I think this is the worst part. Knowing that my Mustang is complete and rolled off the line on the 17th and is not yet moving. I know its worth the wait and in comparison I haven't been waiting very long but man I'm ready to stop driving my wife's car and get into mine. I've prepped the garage Sunday and everything for its arrival... I am ready to receive... This is a lot like watching a pot of water waiting for it to boil or watching paint dry or watching The 10 Commandments with Charlton Heston in one sitting (seemingly endless)... <sigh>

Elksgrove and JCStang, you guys should have them soon; be sure to post up those initial pics! Hopefully that will tide me over. Lol.

You should get in touch with your dealer as soon as possible, puma1552. From my understanding it’s easier before it gets a VIN assigned.

On a bright note, I find that if it's icy, and you can find an empty parking lot, that the traction control "OFF" button makes the Mustang quite fun this time of year!

I received one in my email about 3 days later, then received one in the mail about 2.5 weeks after that.

The coupon is for $750 not $500 that comes from ford so I think the salesman just made a mistake on telling you the value of it. Just order a brochure from Ford's website.

No kidding...my new GT took almost exactly the same amount of time as when I ordered my 12....I'm gonna freeze my butt off tomorrow going to pick it up ( it will be around 0 at the time), but I am tired of waiting..and I thought it was cold when I picked up my 12 back in October of 2011...it was around 50 degrees!!!

I know the feeling JC. I ordered mine on 12/10/13 and was told by the dealer to expect delivery in about 8 weeks. I'm now in week 11 and don't expect to take delivery until the week of 3/9/14. I wish I knew all the reasons why it's going to end up over 3 months. Thankfully, Deysha has been here for me these last few weeks to help tract it's progress. Also, to act as my psychiatrist and keep me stable. Best of luck with your new baby.

Thing I worry about having the cars sit out in the lot outside the factory for X weeks is if it snows then some guy is probably going to drag a snowbrush/broom across the whole car scratching it before you can even intercept it from the dealer prep guys before they even get a chance to do it…I wish Ford wrapped the roof/hood/trunk in vinyl like most manufacturers…from what I've seen Ford puts barely any protective vinyl on the outside of the car…a tiny piece on each bumper, the black plastic deckled panel, and sometimes a small piece or two by the driver's door handle.
