2014 Mustang details are starting to arrive...
I saw a V6 with a MACH1 graphics package at the dealer yesterday when I picked up my plates (after SIX weeks!

But really, they are so out of sync you can barely (only for 1 month) buy a new 2013 Mustang in 2013...... not counting leftovers. I get the April 17th 64.5 thing and subsequent anniversaries.Here they are getting ahead of themselves my nearly a full year.
It wouldn't at all surprise me to see Ford call the new Mustang the '14.5, both to realign the year model with the current year and also to pay homage to the original Mustang, considering it's the 50th anniversary. It was a bit odd to order a 2013 Shelby in March of 2012. Of course, it's much closer to 2013 when I will receive it.

No, but I've received a VIN and it's already been shipped according to my dealer. Should be any day now. If it were just a GT or V6, I doubt it would have taken this long. Another member on here, 2k7gtcs, is in the same boat and is in the same region (Houston) that I'm in. Both of our dealers are small, which means they receive their orders later than the big dealers around here, and there are a TON of large Ford dealers in the Houston region. Just the way it goes.

However, many dealers will have already used up their final month's worth of allocation for Mustangs before then, so if you wait until the last week you might out of luck. Get your order in by the end of September to really ensure that you actually get your car.
FWI.....Ford Motor Company never referred to the original Mustang as a '64 1/2. It was known as an "early" (April tru Sept '64) or "late" (Oct '64- Sept '65) 1965 Mustang....the term '64 1/2 was thought of and made popular by outside sources.
