Any chance Brian's digging could relate to a Bullitt??

Base GT 300A & 301A: New option called "GT Appearance Package," option code 542.

I'd say, if there were in fact a NA 5.8 running around, it would have been rumored. Seems its the same way as the TT 5.0 rumors a while ago. Time to let them go unless we hear some credible info otherwise.

b. simply pretend they don't know what we're talking about and introduce the new 2015 model as the, 50th anniversary Mustang?

or c. (my personal wish) have an abbreviated 2014 mustang year and bring out the new model as an early 2015/2014 1/2 a la 50 years ago and beat out the next gen Camaro and SRT 'cuda as the first 21st century pony car out of the gate.

A 50th anniversary special S197 would also be interesting, especially if its more than an appearance package like the Camaro's 45th anni package.

My logic, they will do the 2014 current design, and not use it as an anniversary model. The all-new 2015 is slated to be on sale April 17, 2014, exactly 50 years to the day, and it wouldn't surprise me, if they call these cars "2014 1/2 models" just like they did back in 1964. We all know there is no 64 1/2 Mustang, if you go by VIN. The VINs all coorelate to 1965 year cars. I think Ford is going to do the same with this one!!

if my BOSS had approved the upgrade, I have one.... not unhappy with the GT - but still dream of the boss I could have had (that was sold last week...)

I hate you, but I am happy for you

yep the 1990 MY was the 25th anniversary so 2015 would be the 50th

they started badging the late 89's that were produced after 4/17/89 but since 2014 production will stop before 4/17/14 there won't be any '14 anniversary models

However, the 1999 MY was the 35th anniversary which would make 2014 the 50th...which lends even more credibility to a 2014 1/2!!

Hi - New member here. I am doing some research on the 14 v. the 13 due to some difficulties I have been having with the car I ordered. (One very unhappy customer of Ford's right now)

Just wondering if anyone knows what interior leather colours will be available on the new mustangs.

The people most likely to know those answers, either now or when more info on the '14 comes out, are Jeff (05Fordgt) and Brian (Five Oh Brian). Both are employed at dealerships and can answer this kind of thing for you. I would PM either or both of them.

Actually, I know a Ford insider (can't mention names, of course) who actually saw a TT 5.0L recently back in Dearborn. He wasn't supposed to see it and was ushered away when he asked about it.

There may be one now, but I was referring to the tooling trial cars that were labelled "TT" on them and everyone freaked out.

The interior colors for the '14's and the same as the '13's.

OK Thanks. That may or may not make the decision easier lol. At this stage I am considering cancelling the order and waiting to order a '14 since I wont really get to use it now until next spring anyways.

From what I read here the body for the '14 is definately going to be the same (give or take small tweeks), correct? I have heard rumors about the "new" body style and I dont think that it will be something I will be happy with.

You will not be able to see the difference between a '13 and '14 -save for two slightly different colors and an optional Appearance Package for the V6 & GT models (that we have no details on yet).

In a way that is a good thing.
If we(2013 buyers) miss out on something cool, (ie appearance package...maybe), it would be a simple addon, or replacement.

Won't be kicking ourselfs for not waiting. (like 2010 to 2011, missing out on the 5.0)

Btw, when I was reseaching this I found a notation in the cataloging about a MACH 1 option. First time I have seen this mentioned.

Name Plate
GT, Less Mach 1 Appearance Group; Decklid, Faux Gas Cap

KC
Could the appearance package be related to the appearance group?

Seen this on the way home yesterday. I'm pretty sure it was a 2014 mule. Sorry for crap pictures and that I didn't get one of the front end. Too me looked pretty much the same as the 2013.
