2013 Ordered/Built/Delivered Thread

Hey all. After a couple months of waiting my dealership finally received my new Mustang GT california convertible. At the table finishing up the deal when i ran out of time and had to get home for commitments with the family. A sales manager calls up and says that they incorrectly priced the car and will need to charge me $1200 more. The order is ofcourse in writing, but technically non-binding. Basically he said take it or leave it he would sell the car to someone else. Thought I'd get the group's feedback on what I should do. Disapointing to say the least. Thoughts?

Ordered mine 6/8, it will be six weeks Friday for my plain Jane GT and no VIN, no nothing. If I don't get some good news by Friday, I think I am going elsewhere.

Makes me wonder what all of these SVT guys are doing all day? Seems they've always got time to answer the phone when I call. Maybe they should pick up a wrench and put down the phone.

WAIT FOR IT...
It's amazing to me that you can't find a black GT out there already built. And if you're dealer isn't willing to find it for you go to another dealership. There is a salesperson out there that wants to make you happy.
This will be my 4th Ford product I've purchased and I'm 31. I like their cars. I think it would be a shame to go elsewhere because a company that's fought its way out of bankruptcy, that didn't take a bail out, that is replacing American jobs, and provides a quality product for a reasonable price is having issues keeping up with demand.
I hope you wait.

I just wish that Ford and it's dealer where more transparent when it comes to customer relations. Why don't they just tell a potential customer that is interested in ordering one of their cars the truth about scheduling and delivery dates. Why take the chance that they will **** off a customer and have the customer take his or hers money to another manufacturer that can actually deliver the goods. Once you have pissed off a customer you have not only lost him, but any of his relatives and acquaintances, maybe forever. Ford, be up front with your customers.
