I THINK (and I'm too lazy to check because I'm on an iPhone) that the GT500 track pack is entirely different from that of the GT. Same name, completely different components. The GT track pack is more similar to the performance pack for the 500. I have read that the track pack for the 500 won't be an option for the vert because of the artificially limited top speed. Again, this is what I've heard. Take it with a grain of salt.

Thanks all for your input, yes I believe the GT500 Track Pack is different KCO Tiger as it includes the diff cooler and the tranny cooler in addition to the Engine oil cooler. I see on the GT order guide, the option code is 55R, JJZ109, you refer to the code 55S, do you have access to the ordering guide for the GT500? Is it available now and I just haven't been able to locate it?

Dealer just got this e mail
We will now begin scheduling retail orders as well. Let me know if you have any questions.
GREAT NEWS!
OK-TO-BUY for the 2013 Mustang (V-6 and GT) has been GRANTED. AAI is authorized to release and ship 2013 MY Mustang vehicles.
This does not include GT500.
We will now begin scheduling retail orders as well. Let me know if you have any questions.

I could NOT find a memo from Ford confirming this today. This week's order restrictions still shows no scheduling for retail orders yet, but it is still possible I suppose, as it only says no retail orders to be scheduled until the okay to buy. So, if the okay to buy really has been given, then we might see retail orders getting scheduled this week. My gut is telling me that next week is the week, though.

2013 production just started a week ago on 2.27.12.
Your order is in the order banks, but is just sitting idly in queue, waiting for Ford to submit your order to the plant. Ford is not scheduling customer orders yet, just cars being built for dealer inventories for quality control purposes. Ford will likely start scheduling customer orders in the next 2 or 3 weeks.

Question regarding the new GT500 convertible, I keep hearing conflicting stories and wondering if anyone knows the answer yet. When ordering the SVT PP option with the convertible, will the track pack be an option? I see that it isn't available on the GT except as the coupe, but have heard it would be available on the GT500.... but my dealer is hearing otherwise.
Awwweeee!!! Thank you, guys!! You are awesome too, 05fordgt!!

Hey everyone, just got an email from my Ford Rep. The good news is CONFIRMED!!! OK to BUY has been given and retail orders will start scheduling .
Now that said, with today being Wednesday, having any retails scheduled this week may not happen since its so far along in the week. But next week, you should start seeing retail orders given VIN numbers!!! We're getting closer everyone!!!

At this point I just hope to see a 2013 Mustang at the Dallas auto show. It's really the thing I'm most excited for. Everything else is just to peruse. Maybe sit in an M3 or 1M Coupe again.
