Yes, since the Boss is on allocation most dealers already had them on order and since you cant truely order one anyway they are all basically stock orders.

I had to wait more than a year to get my '03 Mach 1. Customers come first, and we easily sold out of '03 Mach 1's. I had to wait until the very end of the model year and dealer-trade one in from out-of-state for me to buy. There was plenty of times I thought I'd never get a new Mach 1, but patience paid off. My '07 GT and '11 GT were much easier to get, thankfully!

Not true. Our dealership (and many others, I suspect) are ordering Boss 302's to order for customers. Someone buying such a specialized car typically wants to pick the exact color/stripe combo and options they want - not just take what's in stock for a dealer. Therefor, we take a deposit from each Boss customer so that they can tell us exactly what they want. All of our Boss orders have been this way (and ordered as type 1, retail orders).

We will likely do the same thing with '13 GT500 orders since we'll likely have more customers lined up to order them then we have allocation for. The last couple years when demand for GT500's was down, we ordered most of them for stock, but with 650hp coming this summer, the '13's will be a different animal demand-wise.

Ford has said they will build as many GT500s as are ordered; how does that work with allocation being restricted? Obviously the car won't be produced in numbers similar to other versions of the Mustang, but as you mentioned, demand will be high because of the improvements made to the car. I'm curious how Ford will handle interest that might produce demand upwards of 6000+ builds.

I stand corrected. I knew I could change colors/options but figured since they are allocated the dealer would already have them on order. I was just lucky since my dealer had exactly what I would have ordered coming already..

Maybe theyll just produce as many as they can until the MY ends or orders cease, whichever comes first.

Hello fellow mustang lovers.

I`ve been reading this thread since it started, the whole drama cause of delay of the order guides or the price lists was quite funny!
So, now I`m ready to pull the trigger, thou I`ve been working already this week with my only dealer to know how much my car would cost and how much they are going to give me in my trade-in. Don`t know anything as of yet, will give it another try tomorrow on the appraisal.

All right, Jeff or Brian, how much this car costs:

P8C GT PREMIUM COUPE
401A
443 6 speed auto
59G GLASS ROOF
43S REVERSE SENSING AND SECURITY PACKAGE
53B COMFORT GROUP
58N ELECTRONICS PACKAGE
77C REARVIEW CAMERA
55D BREMBO BRAKE PACKAGE
918 SHAKER PRO AUDIO SYSTEM

Black with Brick Red with Cashmere Accent.

Questions: How much discount do I get if I join the Mustang Club of America? Can I order a brochure via email so I can get a chance of getting the $750 coupon? You just print it out and show it to the dealer and they have to honor it? All this plus the $500 that Ford is already giving, right?
Living in Costa Rica, does all of that works here? I mean, the dealer does have to order the car from the factory in the US.

Also, does the xenons are bi-xenons?

both of you,

only part of question i can help you is with MCA it will give you an x-plan pin which lets you buy the car for invoice plus a small percentage. MCA is ~$50 but not quite sure if it works in Costa Rica.

Jeff or Brian will be around soon to help with all pricing it and your other questions

The GT500 Ordering Guide is here!!!

Hey everyone, I posted a new thread in the GT500 forum, but wanted to post it here as well. Just click on the link below and you can view the 2013 GT500 ordering guide!! Any questions, feel free to send me a PM. And before anyone asks, the price guide is NOT out yet, and I don't expect the prices to be in CONCEPTS yet. I'm not at work yet, but I ran to a Kinko's while I'm out and about this morning to post it. I'll check CONCEPTS later today to see, but I don't expect prices yet. Any questions let me know!!

Oh and Sterling Grey is BACK!!! Gonna look AWESOME on this car!!!

Hey Boomer or Overboost, can you change the name of this thread to add "GT500" to the title and move a copy of the order guide there to page 1? That would be great!!! Thanks guys!!!

Thanks for posting this, Jeff!

Holy crap. I guess if I win the lottery or something I will have to trade in my 2012 that I don't even have yet for a 2013 in Sterling Grey with Red stripes... that is the color combination that I wanted more than anything! It is amazing and I was very sad they didn't offer it for 2012, but I had to have the Recaros and couldn't afford a 2013, so I had to go with my second color choice. Oh well.
