try PNC bank. They are in my area in florida and are giving 3.0 percent then .25 off if you set up a direct pay system.

How is the over the top racing stripe put on the car? It's not under the clear coat?

Am I the only one who negotiates the Priority Code (like "10") as part of the deal when ordering a new Mustang?

It is on top of the clear coat and it can be easily removed.

That's a good, fair deal. The dealer I work for orders Mustang GT's and V6's for retail orders for just $99 over the invoice total, and like you said, rebates still come off of that amount.

Most dealers seem willing (with a little encouragement) to order for a similar price just over invoice.

2.66% is really good. Most banks are in the 3-5% range. Some credit unions are a bit lower. My wife got 2.25% for 72 months on her new '11 Ranger a few months ago from B.O.A. USAA & Navy Fed CU both have great rates between 1.5% and 2.5% for those who qualify.

I don't think Ford will be offering rates that low on '13 Mustangs until much later in the model year.

At the beginning of the a fresh model year Ford builds stock orders only (mostly) for the first few weeks of production for quality control before starting to build (m)any retail orders. If there are production glitches, Ford would rather not involve customer cars. Hopefully, customers appreciate this even if it means that stock orders will start arriving before retail orders.

Once production is going smoothly, then retail orders typically take precedence over stock orders during the balance of the model year.

is that a stock order or retail order? according to Five Oh Brian it's a stock order. but i dont understand why they have it set up so that Retail order gets priority 10-19, and stock order gets priority 20-80. cos i thought smaller priority numbers are higher priorities.

priority 20 is higher priority than priority 80, or the other way around?

sorry this is all confusing to me.
Your order (type 2) is a stock order. Priority Code 80 is a bad thing. Your dealer can easily change your order type to 1 and can improve your priority code to a much better number (10-19) to get your order sped up.

We always assign priority codes on retail orders on a 'first come, first serve' basis. We have had customers ask to be bumped up, but that's not fair to customers who ordered earlier, so we don't do it. Some dealers might negotiate a priority code with customers, but that's not really fair, IMHO.

Actually in the final vehicle order confirmation that he submitted, he submitted it as Type 1 priority 19.

Yes it is! Sadly though, I may have to unsubscribe from this thread! I am trying to get a 2012 Silver Shelby with PP and recaros around 48K... If that works out, I will jump on it!
