I agree I found myself drawn to it as well, my co-worker is obsessed with the grabber blue. But its ALL about the additional little details (e.g. stripes)

 

Does anybody know whether the Performance Package Shelbys will have a stiffer ride than the non PP Shelby? I know that once track mode is activated, the ride stiffens. However, I'm wondering if the "disengaged" shocks will be just as smooth as a non PP. All I know is the ride on my 2012 GT and that ride was great. Granted I never tracked or raced it. (I may track the Shelby)

 

I wonder what it would look like with just the over the top stripe on a GT, then the pedestal spoiler but painted black. The online configuratior needs to get updates so we can play with the colors...

At the moment I'm leaning towards Sterling Gray w/ no stripe or Deep Impact Blue /w Black Satin Stripe. Need to make up my mind and order already

 

I think that option would work as well. I just know I saw a photo of either a V6 or a GT in the GHIG without the stripes and painted spoiler and it was just too much.

 

got a reply from a local manager here, Robert at Roseville Toyota, here is what he said
"Ok, word directly from our Ford Rep is that there is no $1,000 incentive for early ordering a Mustang. Stock orders begin production on 2/27 and special orders in mid march."

he didn't say anything about $500 discount, and there is no $1,000 anymore as i read earlier. how are you guys ordering i don't understand?

 

You go to the dealer and order it. Some dealers require a deposit, some don't. Next day after you order you get an order number, then in a few weeks a VIN, then a few months and it gets built and shipped and delivered.

The $1000 rebate was changed on 2/2/2012 to a $500 rebate. The dealers know about it, maybe they just don't want to give it to you or something.

 

Agreed. What about a GHIG with the black over the top stripe, then pedestal spoiler painted black after the fact (because it comes in body color..yuck!), and black heat extractors on the hood like the CS style. Someone that's good at Photoshop needs to help here!

I know I asked this before, but I'm kind of confused because I haven't had a Mustang before. When the "47A - Racing Stripe, "Over-the-Top" – Single (Satin Black 85X or White 852)" is ordered, is it the one fat stripe with the two pinstripes alongside it that runs down the middle of entire car? I see the double stripes on some cars, like the 2013 GT500 has, what are those all about? The single stripe in the 47A package looks like the middle hood stripe on the 2013 Boss right?

i would LOVE to see one in person before i order tho, can someone share on how i can check on any upcoming new car shows in north CA area where i can maybe see the 2013 model and sit in it?

im assuming the 2013 recaro GT option are same seats as in the boss and shelby?

 

is it possible to see what the holdback figures are on Mustangs?

 

Did your dealer give you the build date or was it Deysha?

 

What colors are for the CS?

 

If I dont go with the Boss today when I go to the dealer for GHIG, I will get the GT in GHIG and add the Boss 302 stripes minus the Boss word. I saw a local Yellow Blaze GT done this way and I thought it looked great. Save a lot of money this way. If I go cheap, this is what I will do.

Just because the model won't start production until 2/27 doesn't mean the dealer can't take the order. The dealer can certainly configure it, enter it in to the system and make a deal on price with you awhile. The only thing I can't confirm is how quickly Ford is turning the DORA around at this time.

As I said in an earlier post, I ordered by Boss yesterday but I don't expect order acknowledgement right away from Ford since the Boss would start its build until after some stock units have been completed.

The $500 rebate is still active and you can also purchase using the x-plan if you are buying a V6 or GT and have a code. Just keep in mind that the dealer can do whatever he wants and does not have to honor rebates for plans.

Just a heads up. The Advertising and Fuel charges weren't waived. There there, its just not shown on the retail side of the VOC. Its only listed in the "Invoice" column on the VOC and DORA.

 

I questioned my dealer about that and he the GM did say they were going to eat those costs. We will see if they honor that promise.

 

I find it hard to believe they'll eat those costs...those have always been pretty mandatory charges. But hey, I hope they do!
