Very interested to see if they changed the brembo wheels. If they didnt, nbd, i think theyll look great with the gorgeous new curves on the GT.

I must say tho, those wheels shown on that vert GT are hideous. I hope those are with the regular brake package.

But other than that IMO, as a fan of more modern design, every part of the refresh is an improvement. Cant wait to have an SG Brembo GT sitting in my driveway come Spring.

 

Oh yea, and im just not seeing why everyone has beef with the fog lights and their placement on the GT grill. Looks flawless to me.

 

WRT the 2013 GT vs 2012
Front end... 6 of one half dozen of the other. I don't like or dislike one more than the other.
Rear end... I don't like the rimmed tail lamps. I will be contrary here. But I give the benefit of the doubt that they may look better in person.

What I like that makes me think I should have waited:
1) track pack with the optional boss 302 rear end and upgraded cooling.
2) the virtual gauges.
3) The PAINTED rocker panels and lower rear end.
4) Maybe the reccaro leather seats.

The extra 8 hp sounds like either a very minor tweak or they are just using the statistical distribution of actual engines off the line to safely bump the rating.

The rear end parts would be expensive to buy and finish... I'd really like to get the 2013 rockers. I can live with the black on the lower or would buy a new piece and get it painted and swap it out. I don't dislike the style only that it's not painted body color.

 

If you zoom in on the GT, it does not have the massive Brembo 4-piston calipers, just the standard clamp style, so I dont think those are the Brembo package wheels.

Yeah I dont understand that either due to the fact that you could simply put the V6 or the Boss 302 grille? For the past few years Ford has optioned different types of grills in the Mustang builder online.

If I end up with a 13 GT I'd be putting in the Boss grille myself.

i was in the market for a high mileage 2008 GT500 or a used 2011 GT, but it looks like i have no option but to purchase a 2013 GT. SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY FORD!

I doubt its actually 8 hp. Until we have a dyno test on the new GT id be willing to bet its more. We all kno the 11-12 5.0 was underrated so i suspect this one is too. They probably want the public numbers to remain under the SS for some reason.

This might seem like a stretch but As one observant fellow said earlier in this thread, if you look at the track apps screen in one of the reveal photos it says 1/4: 12.6 seconds. If this is true of the new 5.0 then there would have to more than 8hp added to the 13.

 

after seeing the entire vehicle now, the new taillights and cleaned up rear does wonders for the 2013.

No Frank the new blue is called Deep Impact Blue, looks more like Vista Blue than Sonic. Sonic was closer to a lighter version of Kona...

 

dont get your panties in a wad; I'm sure they'll offer grille options as they do with the current 2012 Mustang.

 

If you were to paint the rockers imo you would also have to paint the black bottom part of the rear bumper. The black rockers and that back part are optically connected and give the 2010/12 it's specific stance. If you just paint the rockers and leave the rear unpainted your car will look mid heavy.

 

Howdy folks...new here, but been on here for a while. Absolutely loving the new Boss...if all goes well, as I say, God willing and Wife blessing...I hope to have a 2013 Laguna Seca on order by early next year.
