Hmm...idk about you guys, but I'm really impressed how sharp that fender line looks. It REALLY makes me think of the older cars.
And wow that paint is beautiful. Makes me want to be stupid and buy a 2010 in that color, then trade up to a 2011 just beacuse!

Ummm... I like the color more and more now that I see it all the time. Much more orange, which is what we need. Grabber Orange, or should I say slightly orange with yellow in it that had to replace Screaming Yellow and mix in Competition Orange, was not my favorite color. It had a lot of potential but didn't pull through IMO.

Grabber Orange is a great "heritage" color, IMO.
This new color is okay, but what Ford really needs to do is bring back Calypso Coral. Then I could die a happy man.

It Finally Hit Me!
I've Been Trying To Place What The 2010 Mustang Really Reminds Me Of... Then I Saw This Pic of the Hood & Front Fender...
![](http://www.fordvehicles.com/asp/modules/the2010mustang/flash/assets/img/Powerdome.jpg)
Then It Hit Me!!!! The Slightly Raised Fender Ridge, The Domed Hood, The Four Round Lights with 2 In the Grill, Even The Subtle Hips....
It Seems as Though Some of The Premier Auto Group's Design Heritage Has Trickled Down To The 2010 Mustang.... It's ASTON MARTIN!
And Before Any Of You Guys Flame Me, I Do Know that The David Brown Aston Martins of the 70's That I Posted Pic's of For Comparison, Were Inspired By the 69-70 Mustang.

Yeah, I Posted Back When the 05's Were Coming Out that They Kinda Reminded Me of An Aston Martin Too. It Is Interesting to See One Hidden Among The 05-09's.
But, As I Pointed Out, The Power Dome On The Hood, The Slight Razor Edge to the Fender, The 4 Lights, With 2 of Equal Size Being In The Grill, and The Subtle Hips Really Scream Aston Martin! It Also Screams 60's and 70's Mustang! Which To Me Is A Good Thing!

The '64 through '68 as well. Do you think Ford "borrowed" some of the design elements?

Not Really It's Probably Just A Bit Of Coincidence, Because As I Said Those Aston's Were Inspired By the 69-70 Mustangs Anyway, So It's All Muscle Car Heritage. Even The Mustang II's Kinda Remind Me of The Aston Martins of the 70's

Is the pic on the site still locked for anyone?? I can't seem to get it unlocked. It's 0130 on a THURSDAY over here and it usually unlocks for me about 1800 on wednesday afternoon. Odd.

Designer's comments for this week's photo:
http://ford.digitalsnippets.com/must...-design-week-7
Mustang enthusiasts always have loved the power of America’s favorite muscle car. A glance at the hood showcases the power waiting to be unleashed as the potent nature of the 2010 Mustang is amplified by aggressive sculptural surfacing on the all-new hood. “The strong powerdome punches outward from the hood surface, further emphasizing the powerful engines underneath,” said Design Manager George Saridakis. “It’s practically bursting through the surface.”
The 2010 Mustang indeed is ready to charge forward. But with that brute strength are touches of beauty and style as well. “The subtle surface changes on the fender edge make for a more dynamic design,” said Chief Designer Douglas Gaffka. “The softer, blended-in surfacing of the wheel arch creates a much-more flowing look, giving the car an appearance of a wider stance,” added Saridakis.
All the better for 2010 Mustang drivers to leap off the line.
“The 2010 Mustang is all about crafting a world-class car,” said Senior Designer Robert Gelardi. “Everywhere you look, exterior and interior, there’s attention to detail in design, engineering and manufacturing befitting this American icon.”

Basically Ford has to test the car, so they let it out in the open. But the camo covers up all these little details, so they are revealing these details bit by bit...very clever- much better than Camaro's endless "reveals."

I like the "brown" and the red ones. Not feelin the orange or the grabber blue. Maybe some accents like the bolsters or stitches, but not the full seats or wheel. Somehow the brown and red seem to be better on the whole seat and steering wheel. Nice stuff.
