“All three spokes are genuine aluminum,” adds Morales, “and there is a special focus on driver comfort. Both the spokes’ shapes and the audio controls have been ergonomically designed.” Even the steering-wheel badge received special attention. “This badge is genuine stamped aluminum, incorporating the new 2010 pony design,” says Gelardi.

holy giant pic..lol..
well so much for that analog clock thought between the vents. kind of think that is a poor spot for a 12v source though. that will put whatever is plugged into in the way i think.

I'm betting it's just for looks. My Escape has a similar indentation in the same spot. It's completely useless, but I assume it's just there to break up the lines. Or something.
It's definitely not for speeding tickets.

And on a side note, if that is the kind of intentions for that indentation, it would be great if it were a smooth, non-textured surface in that spot so that I can mount my GPS suction cup mount there, instead of on my windsheild. It won't stick to either the top of the dash, or the front facing of the dash between the air vents due to the less than perfectly smooth surface there.

I can see that, too. But I still say it looks more like the '71-'73 'Stang.
The color doesn't help, though. It's very Challengery. Challengerish. Challengeresque. Whatever.
