IMO they have been emulating Volkswagen's interiors- level of detail and quality of materials which is a very good thing.

Seems like that leather is awfully tight however to row the gears...probably on a depth perception thing...

Detail, yes, quality, lets hope not. Unless things have changed in the last three or four years, which they probably have.

Am I the only one wondering what will those button plates below the heated seat buttons will be?

I see a cooled seats function in the Stang's future for 2011.

Being in Georgia, I would love that for the spring/summer/fall seasons. I may have a 2011 5.0 Orange Vert with IUP and comfort package in my future!

Cool *** FTW!!!

Maybe those spots are for the K.I.T.T. special edition ejector seats for those annoying "mother-in-law" types

The 2010 Mustang team strived to ensure the driving experience of America’s muscle car icon was the best Mustang yet. A powerful new design, upgraded soft materials and world-class craftsmanship, driven by meticulous attention to detail and intently listening to customer feedback, define the next-generation Mustang.

Customer feedback led to new and improved features such as the interior trunk release button. “That’s something customers have asked for, so we worked hard to make sure it was included for the new 2010 design in a unique, modern way,” said Chief Designer Douglas Gaffka.

As with everything on the 2010 Mustang, the team executed the trunk release and traction control buttons in a way that was specially designed for the car. The graphic on each button, for example, isn’t just a generic car icon.

It’s a Mustang.

“We felt it was critical to pay attention even the smallest detail,” says Senior Designer Robert Gelardi. “The Mustang is special car, a legend, and everything should be treated as such. Whether it was ergonomics, design, world-class fit and finish or even the graphics on the buttons, everything was specifically and precisely created. We wanted our customers to feel as special driving the 2010 Mustang as we did designing it.”

You can really see the Mustang icons on the buttons. This is so cool!!!!!!!!!. If they thought about this little detail, imagine how the rest of the car must be.

I can't wait to get one.

BTW, I'm loving the super high-res Flickr shots. Especially on a 30" display.

Wow. Talk about details. This makes me so excited now. I can't wait to check out the reveal. I hope they let me sit in it. I'm going to be studying that thing for hours! I'll make sure I take hundreds of pictures. Of course, they won't be as good as these official press releases. I just have a cheap Canon Point and Shoot. But it'll get used for sure!

That 's Because It's Shared With The Rest Of The Ford Lineup. I'm Sure It Looks Just Like That In The F-150 Too.

Interesting...

If you look closely at the super hi-res image, you can see that the traction control button image gives away the look of the rear of the car (taillamp shape, the white "vertical dividers," etc.), and you can see the hip slightly in the trunk release image.

You also get a sense for the C-scoop/hockey-stick shape from the trunk-popper button.

That's Good Iconography When You Can Tell What Kind Of Car It Is From a Simple Image Like That!

If You Look At The Full Hi Res Image You Can Also See That The Door For The Cup Holder Is Leather Grained And The Edge Around It Is Beveled Too. Extremely Nice Attention To Detail!
