Amazing the detail you can see in a 5000 x 3619 picture.
No kidding. And the lights are auto.

This is just a thought, but I think the badge on the wheel would look better if it resembled the 69-70 quarter panel badge. Make it a black disc with a chrome rim with the pony in the middle, same for the faux gas cap.

I dunno. There's something decidedly more edgy and modern about it just the way it is.

I had a beer last night and it came in a genuine aluminum can. Wow. Impressive, huh? I don't get what the big deal is about 'genuine aluminum'. At least it's not fake aluminum?

Funny, I was thinking how it reminded me of a '60s dash; reminiscent of the LTD's and Fairlanes that I saw as a kid.

I hate to say it, but the real wood trim in the new F150 Lariat still looks fake.

Oh, I agree with that. I was referring to the look of steering wheel emblem itself.

This looks amazing. Makes the 05-09 look horribly raw and unfinished. I've always thought the current interior looked tacked together, this just reinforces that impression completely.

The problem with the current interior is not the design or style - which look great - it's the plastics choice. They're the absolute cheapest in the plastics industry: the same as a fishing tackle box or a Craftsman toolkit box. This also makes it prone to being easily scratched, since it has no "give". If you're careful, it stands up fairly well. But a watch or ring or bracelet or brass jacket button can easily lead to surface abrasions.

Beyond that, the premium upgrade package goes a long way to making the interior look fairly nice (still gets stares, again, largely because of the design), but I agree the 2010 will finally bring the Mustang's interior quality into the 21st century.

That's always been my biggest grip about the S197. It's interior is horribly lacking in the quality and appearance factor. So many different colors of "black & gray" with hard plastics that resemble tackle boxes like stated before. It was my biggest apprehension to purchasing one instead of my truck I've got now. I'm glad I waited. I'll most definitely be buying the refreshed and revised edition. It's good to see Ford bringing the Mustang into more common quality and comfort stereotypes.

To be exact, it looks even more like the 1967-68 dash. Especially with the rectangular air vents in the center. Reminiscent of the 67/68 Mustangs !
