Looks great - reminds me of the previous generation G35. As to that 'aluminum' on the center console, it's probably just metal painted plastic, which means - like the older G35 - it may be prone to easy abrasion.

Hey bud, most likely, some aftermarket company will come out with a face plate that removes all the audio buttons, and radio readout screen, but has the same openings for the HVAC controls. Just take off the standard console panel, remove both AC and radio, add the aftermarket HU and the HVAC controls, make sure they poke through properly and re-install. Again, this is a guess, but if its like the old Oval Taurus IP from 1996-1999.

Man. That's one SWEET looking console! I knew there was a reason that I didn't like the '05 ones that much, although admitadly better than the SN95's, just not up to the par that I though the Mustang should have been! Well now, there's the 2010. And it's going to be EVERYTHING the Mustang should have been in 2005, but they always say "good things come to those who wait." I agree. Good job Ford.

I hope there is some sort of safety feature on that trunk release button. Looks too easy to hit while driving, especially when you ment to hit the traction control button!

Thats a good point. All these upgraded materials and added goodies will we be seeing the price go up? With the addition of the 5.0 can we see the price start like the Camaro SS? I can see people wanting these luxuries as some only own one car but are they willing to pay extra? If the GT starts at 30,000 + will that be acceptable to most to have these extra's?
With this refresh, one could surmise we got the interior, features, and enough exterior styling changes built on some of the aggressiveness of the GT500.
Personally, I'd rather have a $26,000-$28,000 GT as opposed to a $30,000+ one. However, the pricing here might be a pleasant surprise, so here's to hoping!

Considering...
this is a Pre-Production Unit I will give them the benefit of the doubt...But they still need to line up the trim pieces better than this before February.

If someone showed us those pix, and we didn't know one was 2K10 Mustang and one was "the bowtie guys", and we were asked the question "which one is from an Infinti and which one is from a Chevy?" then which one would you choose ?? Testimony to the level of refinement that Ford is looking to achieve here. I think one word "Classy".

I dunno… to me, it looks like there's a gradual taper there, higher at the back, nearly flush at the front. It's not supposed to be all flush or anything.

Since the release of the '05, I have been hoping against hope Ford would resurrect the Cougar or Capri on the S197 platform in order to get the GT performance with a more sophisticated, upscale, feature-rich interior.
Looks like Ford has done this without having to invest in a second model line. And since I always preferred the Mustang styling to the Cougar/Capri, looks like the best of both worlds.
Could be the long-term keeper Mustang I've been waiting for 30 years...

That may be, but I gotta side with Boomer, here. Flush/even seams would look better. And given the emphasis Ford has been putting on "sweating the details" for this upgrade, these are just the sort of details that can make a perceptual difference between "right-on" and "close, but no cigar"...
