jon the 07's come with an aux jack already so you can plug in a ipod. so hopefully with some wiring information etc. we may be able to add the aux jack to same interior console location as 07 with sirius etc. well have to wait and see. but if your not worried about the sirius, there is already an aux kit being sold by ford and several aftermarket companies making hook ups for them. good luck

What exactly are we talking about here? A replacement radio? Some sort of connector to plug in a Sirius unit? A better PIE thing?

What is it?

Thanks very much! I'm anxious to get my hands on one. Any chance of posting pics of what a proper install looks like?

My understanding is that xm and sirius antennae location do not work the same. That Sirius has to have better line of site, than xm. A little drawback for Sirius - - but a small price to pay for Howard.

I have my sirius antennae on the trunk lid.

Hey Kevin,

Keep me posted as well. Also if I decide to go that way I'll have to swap out my center AC vent panel as I bolted my Sirius Starmate to it.

Thanks

NOTIFY ME WHEN AVAILABLE!!!

By the way, could the antenna be mounted on the package tray behind the rear seats as opposed to on the trunk lid? I would think it should work there as it would have clear 'line of sight' out the rear glass.

Yea, I'm a bit eager.

Currently, I've got my antenna for my Visor on my dash and it works pretty good there. I've got metallic tint on my back window, and that kills the reception.

Not trying to speak out of turn, Kevin will correct me if this is not accurate. But if this is a Ford Accessory, it will connect directly into the receptacles in the back of the factory installed radio.
Whether you have to have Shaker or not will probably be revealed soon.

Just chiming in here. If this is a Ford Accessory, it should plug directly into the backside of the factory radio. Whether you need a Shaker level radio or not, remains to be seen. Correct me if I am wrong Kevin.
