I've been thinking about motor mounts recently too, and like he said I'm going poly so my fillings stay in my teeth.
Thanks man that would be sweet!! I also just got back with my car, it feels great!! no more whining and no more slack! I havent really beatin on it yet, but does anyone know the break in period for gears??
Been driving it around a bit, I'm really excited how solid my car feels now. Here's my list for next upgrades:
-motor mounts
-aluminum driveshaft
-tuner (I know, should have been the first)
-full cobra brakes, front and rear.

In the interest of lazyness,(sorry, pulled the cummins out tonight, that was a beoch) heres a half way decent write up. Covers the basics. The only thing I would say is to unbolt both side and jack it up. Then work on each side. Its pretty straight forward and not difficult as long as you take you time.

Alright guys, a little side note, I am going in this Wednesday for processing into the United Sates Air force, I am 17 and will be doing the delayed entry program, meaning i enlist now, and deploy when i graduate.
I have to list 3 careers, and i get one of the three they need..
My choices are:
-Bioenviornmental engineer
- aerial gunner
- air traffic control operations
if any one has had any experience with any of these careers feel free to chime in! Suggestions welcomed!
Also, should be getting my motor mounts in this week, hopefully will be installing them Saturday!

did they say that is the only 3 they need right now? If you test scores are high enough you can qualify for any job they have to offer. You just have to wait until they need those positions. I would get as much information about the day to day duties of all of these MOS' if any of them sound good to you then go for it. If not ask them for all the jobs that your gt score qualifies you for. You don't have to go into the delayed entry program. You can just wait until you graduate and see what job they have available then. No point in locking yourself into a job when something better may open up later. I wouldn't call going to basic training deploying though. Just training. I'm not in the air force but I am a sgt in the army. The air force is a good choice though. Usually they have better living conditions and less frequent and shorter deployments to combat zones. As a matter of fact if you have to live in any sort of army building, the air force will actually compensate you for "sub standard" living conditions. Lol. Either way good luck. Don't let your recruiter force you into anything. Let me know if you get orders for joint base Lewis mc chord that's where I'm at.
Sounds like their enlistment process is a little different from the army. I know the marines have a different process as well. Just get all the info you can about the day to day duties of the jobs. That is going to affect your happiness the most after you are actually in the service. Did the recruiter say after you graduate it was a year long wait? Either its some program to fast track kids into the air force right out of high school or your recruiter may be blowing smoke at you to get his quota. Either way they all seem like good jobs. I would go with the gunner job but then again I'm an infantryman. Get ready for basic, it's gonna suck pretty bad but it doesn't last forever. You will get through it. Just hang in there. I think it's only like 6 weeks and then you receive MOS training or AIT. Mine was 16 weeks and it was pretty bad. Anyway good luck to you man. Maybe an air force guy can chime in. If not you can try to check an air force forum and maybe they can give you some better answers.
