...and apparently better on gas

just drove to my parents place today for Thanksgiving. Took a longer route to finally test the 87P tune (as opposed to the 91R) on a distance journey. Around town the 87P has been worse than the 91R (but I think the cause there is that the torque in the low end 87P had me gassing it more)

In any case, on my predominantly freeway drive home, I achieved 30.04mpg!! Who says new cars are the only ones with good mileage lol. This was done keeping it around 2k or so. cruising between 70-80mph.

All I can say is I can only recommend getting a tune for your modded 4.6 even more

I can get some in a few. its also filthy inside lol

I decided to order a set of steeda X2 balljoints and a bumpsteer kit as well. (gotta love the extended cyber monday deals lol)

The balljoints are making a lot of noise on my car anyway, and firestone said my outer tie rod was wearing as well. This, hopefully, will sort out my friend end noises, as well as the bumpsteer

Whats the point of the weight reduction if you add more weight in junk?

My friend did a bunch of weight reduction to his 01 GT. Aluminum bumper supports, coil over suspension, aluminum engine block.

With 1/2 tank of gas the car weight 3000lbs even now according to truck weigh station

fair point, but that junk would be in there whether or not the weight was removed from the car. I dont always have room in my room for my tools and things, and stuff i travel with just ends up staying in the car. so it still weighs less than it would have

all thats really in the trunk is a small toolbox, another plastic cased tool kit and some assorted Harley parts for Pete's sportster. Inside is a mix of books, stuff I've rescued from my parents garage, school stuff and clothes

is everyone's car just empty? lol

There's like two or three things to unplug. You just won't have anything to listen to but the door tweeters though.

Pretty much. Few things in the center console, and some stuff in the net in the trunk. I'm OCD.

I don't even have that net!

I keep a couple things in the car. Spare gallon of water in case it's needed, my toolbox in the trunk, and an air compressor. GPS, iPod, keys, and wallet get put in the center console.

And on this edition of Hoarders we take a look at not a house, but a car that is brimming with things that are there "just in case."

Haha my escape is the same way - I have my tool box, "emergency kit" from Costco, a pair of boots, a pair of cleats, a pair of running shoes, change of clothes, case of water, trail mix, baseball/glove/catcher's mitt, hard hat from my last construction job, Oakley half jackets with clear lenses (safety glasses), two other pairs of Oakley sunglasses, an emergency stash of $20, tow rope, and sub box, all most in my rear cargo area. I like having an SUV sometimes
