A lot of places don't do tunes for life, and if you have any future plans on a power adder it is going to have to be dyno tuned so AM won't send you a tune for it. It is better to go with the tuner that your shop is more comfortable using than to buy one ahead of time and have to drop money buying another one down the line.

when I land a job, I'll get some bolt-on mods. Even with free tunes for life, it's not gonna help me much with what I have in mind for the car's future.

Installed the 87 Performance tune today and went for a quick jaunt around the area.
Immediately I noticed that the exhaust tone had changed. Not by a lot, certainly not as much as you get from changing parts, but it was definitely deeper, if only just so. Starting from a standstill was easier than normal, way less hesitation, and throttle response was quick and smooth. There's a feeling that there's a little bit more power just driving around town, but once you let it rev up a bit, it really starts to pull. Hard downshifts also were a lot smoother than they were before as well. The **** thing just feels so good to drive. Plus, the plaque is a great place to mount my GPS
All I can say now is that I can't wait til this tank of 87 runs out. Then its time for the 91 Race tune

Just passed halftank yesterday, hopefully I'll burn the rest of this 87 soon. School has me using this whole "public transit" thing so I've been saving too much gas

I'm just about to hit 53K. Its crazy to think it had less than 8 when I got it
I know my front hub bearings went bad a while back. Replaced them and it seemed better, but the front end was still making alot of noise when going over rough roads. When we install the CC plates and other goodies, I'm going to take a very carreful look around the underside of my car. SOMETHING has to be loose or messed up or something.
it also makes an interesting thunk when i brake really hard, and a very light one when, if im stopped, I release the brake, but only sometimes.
these **** Berkeley roads are shaking my poor car apart. also those stupid speed strips on the bay bridge.

I've got a weird rattle in the back of the car, only on overrun, kinda sounds like an exhaust hanger rattling or something. Its always something.
The roads around Columbia try to tear my car apart, especially the parking garages.

I've experienced "normal" SN95 rattles, back when pete had his 1994 GT. However, these are scary metal on metal suspension rattles, not just the cheap hard plastics everyone likes to complain about
If we don't figure out what it is, I'm going to see if my shop will give me a diagnoses, so at the very least I know what to fix. We shall see.
