Yeah he didn't seem concerned at all and just wanted to let me know, so as not to get annoyed in the future, that other officers might see my stock seatbelt hanging and assume I'm not wearing one
He did also ask if my engine was modified.. I think they're also trying to crack down on street racing. A little past the part of town I was returning home from, you can often hear people racing late into the night. A dirty, slightly gutted mustang with racing seats and harnesses might look fairly suspicious lol.

Clear third brakelight arrived yesterday, but I was drowning in homework due at midnight so I had to delay the alterations that it needed
Tinted them this morning. After a little bit of wetsanding, masking and wiping it down with some alcohol, they came out ok. Theres a little bit of orange peel, but considering I wasn't using anything like a paintbooth, I'll live. I can always wetsand and clear in the future.
Just got to install it now, and this stupid fixit can be gone.
in other news, someone backed into my car at 7-11 the other day. Chipped the rear bumper in a few places and bent the driver side exhaust. sigh. I ******* hate cities.
but pics of the light at least, to end my post on a high note

No I stopped him. I got the insurance info and all that, called him yesterday. no word back yet. Probably gonna call him again tonight.
The body damage is minimal, just a few chips and scuffs on the corner of the bumper, but the exhaust is definitely bent.
magnet for disaster seems a most appropriate term lol

If he doesn't call you back, there are a few other "concerns" that could possibly be addressed by his insurance.

Besides I'm getting used to the dent. It's a good reminder to check the tread on my tires.
At least until I can find a suitable Ford wagon to swap everything into

As for my comment, like Arin said, I don't really believe that Arin could justify how getting a tap on the rear bumper caused severe unibody damage under the driver's door. haha.

so the rears are basically done. Just waiting for Pete (not cntchds) to get back from pickin up his woman and then I can finish up.
I was never able to modify the broken adjustment tab on the top of one of the shocks. I checked the other shock and it was set to full soft on rebound, but at 3/9 or so on compression. I set everything save the broken tab to full soft, and then put that shock on the drivers side. reasoning being that if it is set to a stiffer rate than the other one, at least theres more weight to carry on that side.
the only other hiccup was that the upper rubber piece (think endlinks) to mount the new shock was missing, so I ran down to o-reilly to pick up a replacement. the replacement is a few mm smaller in OD and a few mm larger in ID, but with a bit of tape
it seems alright. At least this will be holding me over til I can order the correct piece from KW
As soon as pete's back I can drop the passenger side shock in, jack up the axle and bolt the last few things on.
I also thought it interesting that the rears are not a true coil-over-shock design. I don't know how other coilover kits work on 4link stangs, but basically the ride height adjuster sits on top of the bottom spring pocket and their spring sits on top. basically identical too the stock style setup, albeit with non-stock components. The rear install has been WAY easier than the front.
Honestly, the hardest part was getting the plastic wrapping off of the STB (which let me tell you... harder than it looks)
anyways, pics to come later. height is set at full low, since its easier to install that way. Will adjust after taking SLAMMED pics lol

Don't pull the jack out, or you will never ever ever be able to get it back under.
Weird about how they run the rear springs. is it kind of like the weight jackers that steeda sells?

HOLY HOT ****!!!
Well the install is finished, and I just took her for a test drive. I never realized how uncomfortable the stock suspension was. Since the car is set to full soft, I took it on a short jaunt around the neighborhood, choosing the worst roads wherever possible.
I went over bumps at 25+ that I normally slowed to 10 for, and even at 10 with the stock stuff, it felt like my spine and ********* were being assaulted by a trauma each and every time my suspension impacted with the pot-hole laden ground.
On top of all that, (didn't go to crazy since its slightly wet out still)the car corners way flatter. I can barely believe I'm driving the same vehicle.
stiffer settings will have to wait until I actually bother to use this car properly, but for now, this is everything I wanted and more. She looks lower for sure (idiot that i am made no before pics lol) but I don't seem to be scraping in my driveway. as for pics...
