Full Billet Switch Plates:...Please...
I know - two words...
Blame Saleen
We are running fuel doors at the moment, and since the switch plate is a mill job, they can't get up on the mill until doors are through. SEMA is just around the corner for us, and so I know we need a lot of this stuff done and in-process before we get there, we're hiring a second person in just 4 months to try and get ahead of this for everyone - not bad when everyone else is cutting back...
FYI there are a bunch of pieces on the interior that were missing from our car at Mustang Week - anyone with a keen eye would be able to tell some of the stuff we are working to bring to market for everyone.
At least I'm keeping to our promise - no new billet products until switch plates are made.

24 feet (~135 Lbs) of material showed up today that was ordered just for a certain piece you guys have been looking for...
Have to run some cup holders first to keep up with orders, but then we're on them!

(just a monthy whatup. any prototypes?)
Coming baby... I know sounds like a broken record some days, but Ford and Saleen have kind of got a priority position, and so I had to hold prototypes of these until we got them taken care of. I will have them at SEMA if I have to hand build them on the Bridgeport mill, so keep the faith.
Fuse covers are almost done, just doing engraving work now.
Door locks are done.
Door lock pockets will prototype after switch plates.
As we do the prototypes, we build all the fixtures for production as well, so right after SEMA is done, we can hopefuly push right into production with them. Given how slow our finishers are right now, we'll be getting parts out relatively quickly compared to their normal 3-4 week turn-around.

sorry, if it has already been explained, but what is a door lock and pocket? is that the pull pin that goes up and down when you lock/unlock the door?
if so, i guess the pocket is the area around that pull pin, huh? just want to make sure i understand. thanks.

Yep, the pocket goes around the lock pin. I don't like the little inserts offered that glue on, so I want to make these. Problem is they are side-specific, so it's a mirror image, not just a duplicate piece turned around...
Just means a bit more work and a second part to make a kit, but still, we have the fixturing issues about worked out as to how to hold it as we manufacture it.

Here we go!
Ok, talk is one thing, but as always (even if a bit late) we do deliver.
Here's a few shots of where we're at as of today, these are some monster pieces when we start out and not exactly easy to make (maybe why nobody else is...) - just over 4 Lb pieces from the 12ft bars we're starting from. I am expecting the finished piece to be well under 1Lb, maybe we'll have some finished pictures end of next week. delivery will be after SEMA, as right now we're just doing the initial programming and fixture setups for all the new products, production should start Nov. 10th. Of course I don't have a clue what currently will need to be running then, but it will at least be "in the mix".
